Er is anyone liking this? longer cast times than a destro lock lol it just feels awful atm.
Well this guy does!
You’re supposed to take advantage of Streamline, which reduces Aimed Shot cast by half with two stacks, and you have many abilities giving you streamline stacks
I still have to get used to the changes and settle on a new setup, but my early impressions are very positive. Way more interesting on a fundamental level.
Too many changes between seasons. Huge turn-off for me. If it ends up like D4, we’ll see.
Talking STRICTLY PVP -
Removing Trueshot haste , and now that Aimed shot is almost 3 seconds cast … just killed it for me , you have good positive feedback with the other changes , im loving the 2 stacks of Black arrow which seems to be constantly up.
I Love the fact that you get an option to KEEP your pet.
I love the way the implemented Double tap back with Volley , and a few other talent changes.
Streamline Talent -50% cast on aimed shot is not enough …
Aspect of the FOX - NOT ENOUGH , because you have to take Hunting pack as well - That’s already 2 pvp talents down the drain. JUST TO CAST AIMED SHOT WHILE MOVING EACH 1.5 MIN ,WHILE CASTING TIME STILL 3 SECONDS , Thats absolute TRAVESTY !!!
Coming from a Veteran MM pvp Hunter … i think it’s time to let it go , and i’ve been trough all the rough patches and expansion , always enjoyed MM PvP , and its playstyle … but that 3 Seconds Aimed shot makes me feel like a demo warlock. Except their Chaos Bolts hit for 400 % more than our Aimed shot …
Good luck to all the explorers and all we can do is wait.
Can’t really judge until the season starts , but
Didnt have much time trying it, but was liking it, have to do some content to make ip my mind wether I will main it this season
no, its afwful
another chances good
A better version of MM imo. Some things are great, some not so much. Cast time is not a problem if you perform the rotation properly.
It’s great that we no longer depend on the pet and can finally play without it properly. Rotation is better and makes sense. We need some haste buff, whether as part of trueshot or somewhere else, I’m not sure. I still don’t like hunters mark, I wish it was purely a tool against stealth enemies or had some real mechanics. Also I still don’t like steady shot, I never have, and I wouldn’t mind if it was deleted from the spec. Ofc we need energy regeneration, but I’m sure it can be solved in the form of some passive talent or in some other better way. Certainly during trueshot energy should not be a problem. Nothing worse when in the middle of a dps rotation or even worse during a burst I need to press steady shot. Steady shot definitely bothers me the most.
As far as pvp is concerned, the only complaint is the aspect of the fox. Hunting pack and aspect of the fox should be one talent! As a single talent they would be an interesting and viable option, but now as separates they are both wasted. It’s honestly strange to me that they didn’t see this and it will be a shame if they don’t change this.
All three specs suck
BM
Packleader is boring
MM
some changes but still feels like nothing changed
Surv
This Spec has an identity crisis
it wants to be melee but also wants to be ranged
It’s literally a non issue. You open with Rapid Fire to get one stack of streamline. Then u Aim Shot with 25% reduction. Then with Windrunner Quiver talent, Precise Shots stack to Two and a single Arcane Shot will consume both stacks and give you two stacks (so you no longer need to cast Arcane Shot twice to consume both stacks, like in the previous iteration) of Streamline. So you basically always have 50% cast reduced Aimed Shot (which is faster than previous iteration) because of Aimed Shot > Arcane Shot rotation. Also, Lock and Load procs don’t consume Streamline stacks either. And if you play with Explosive Shot, it also has an option for it to give Streamline.
Also, Tensile Bowstring gives you an additional 15% bonus on PVP - so Aimed Shots have 75% reduced cast time with 2 stacks of Streamline (and in PVE they become basically instant)
It’s a huge improvement over the previous MM iteration.
Oh, and with Aspect of the Fox, combined with Hunting Pact, you can even cast Aimed Shots on the run, and for a pretty extended period of time also with Aspect of the Cheetah with barely more than a minute CD - basically you can kite melee training you, while throwing Aimed Shots on their faces, dealing great damage and often times forcing them to retreat - something that wasn’t possible with the previous iteration.
You’re not supposed to cast unstreamlined Aimed Shots - if you’re doing so, you’re not doing your rotation correctly
My initial impression is that it’s an improvement.
Totally agree!
I absolutely hate it. I hate it.
MM has never been this bad. At this point, either greatly optimize this current version quickly or bring DF’s MM with WAY better tuning. At least MM was good in huge packs in DF.
No, I do not. Why play worse destro lock?
Talking about STRICTLY playstyle and feel , rather than Lack of damage or such complaints.
BFA was the start of a great change towards MM .
Shadowlands MM PvP was great
Dragonflight MM PvP was PEAK ELITE LEVEL
TWW MM PvP did not change alot since Dragonflight , therefore it was top notch.
You removed double tap because it was too OP , now you’re brining it back.
You remove the God Tier MM gameplay for the past 4-5 years and replace it with an obliviation of playstyle.
Imagine Melee Training your @ss in Solo Shuffle , and EVEN WITH STREAMLINE , NOBODY is going to let you stand and CAST (even 50 % faster for ONE aimed shot ), Aspect of Cheeteh + Aspect of Fox is a weak alternative . VERY WEAK.
Let’s wait until the season start i guess - 20 % more attributes and a few million HP more.
so do i !!! even if its not too much changed tho, the core gameplay its still there i love that i am not so much depended of Haste anymore and the more attacks with AS also the fact that stats now no need so much haste and i can put more in Mastery and CS while not downed down my gameplay + i can play with whatever look on my stables pets while i am open door and i got the BR and not depended of the pets itselfs its so good. I am also SV player and i like the melee aswell but i can’t play the same as MM with the BR not specifically coming with Ferocity pets its feels so wrong now after i play with the new MM. I like the new visuals of utilitys and the new eagle animations also the stun which change from Intimidation its also feel longer and faster but maybe its just me and its the same… idk but what i know its that i got better things for the rework with none of the drawbacks and at the end of the day if its play better, feel better playing it, looks better, do more dmg then previously and got a talent BR aside of pet Ferocity choise well i call it a W for the rework and i really wish they bring some of the stuff they introduced with MM to SV/BM aswell
MM is AMAZING in big packs now, what are you talking about?
i miss my pet
