Hey guys, I was wondering about these two ammos and which was better. So I did some testing. I did it on lvl 120 pvp target dummy in stormwind and counted proc’s.
I did not care about crit’s here simply because the crit chance is my character’s crit, not the ammo’s. They could have all ben crit or all been normal hits, with luck. My purpose here is to count the proc rates, and the avarage damage it provides.
What I did is I bought 2 Light Crossbow’s from a vendor in stormwind(item level is 8). I gave 1 of them incendiary ammo and the other frost laced ammo. Then I went to the target dummies and tested. 200 auto attacks each. Each 200 auto attack took about 9 minutes. I repeated this 10 times for incendiary ammo, and 10 times for frost laced ammo.

Incendiary ammo maximum procs = 18 — Frost-laced ammo maximum procs = 22
Incendiary ammo avarage procs = 13,6 — Frost-laced ammo avarage procs = 15,7
Incendiary ammo proc rate = 13.6/200 or 13.6/9 per minute, lets call it 6.8% proc chance.
Frost-laced ammo proc rate = 15.7/200 or 15.7/9 per minute. Lets call it 7.8% proc rate.
Incendiary ammo damage for my character = 12,120
Frost-laced ammo avarage damage for my character = 10,774
Incendiary ammo total damage according to avarage procs = 164,832
Frost-laced ammo total damage according to avarage procs = 169,152
The difference is not that great and surely more testing could be done, but Frost-laced ammo seems to be dealing 4.300 more damage in 200 auto attacks(9 minutes). It also has a slow effect.

Edit: I’m 120 for about a month now and got 360 ilvl. Not sure why forum shows otherwise.
