You mean you don’t like pap pap pap pap …kaboom with no counterplay from stealth?

Precisely.

MM hunter is flying under the radar, the dmg they dish out (especially to cloth classes) is wild, but I guess they are very squishy into certain comps, so therefore you rarely see people complaining about them.

I don’t know what rating you play at but I wouldn’t mind betting that at low rating, hunters don’t know what to do if the Sniper opener from camo fails. At high rating I can imagine it’s a bit more annoying

You’d have thought have nearly 2 decades, the class wouldn’t be like this. OP or Dogwater

My level 66 MM hunter does 120k sniper shot crits in BGs. That’s my average fireball crit at level 70 with full 450 PvP gear.

:dotted_line_face:

It’s such a poorly designed spec/class.

I love it that sir Slinks is still byatching about MM being “without counterplay” after having posted a video where he dies without pressing a single button like 3 months ago

I laughed at myself in that video , but even back then the combo from stealth can nearly 100-0 you
Nice try though fan #193

oh it’s you? what crawled up your bum today
that ended up in a positive thread :joy: We also discussed the issues with MM in another thread

Cute

Oh and lastly, being forced to press one of your main defensives, or you outright die is pretty vile regardless, but I guess rogues exist right so whatever?

This gave me a good chuckle ngl
I’m no longer active, but since my time away all that has happened on these forums is the usual rating shame, arguments and insults and people incredibly salty over literally nothing

A completely sane statement to make by all accounts

It’s a noob trap. At low ratings you can one shot people from stealth, at high ratings you can’t.

MM is the quintessential noob stomper spec. It’s OP in random bgs and skirmishes, and falls off as ratings go up where players’ positioning and CD trading skills improve

I mean, you’re forced to press your defensives upon your enemy pressing their offensives, I don’t see anything bad about that xd How’s that a problem compared to dying to DK’s death coils outside of cooldowns from 30 yard range? xd
(For the record, I’m not saying MM is underbalanced, MM is just fine now, in most scenarios, it’s just boring and therefore doesn’t have an answer to everything)

In isolation that statement reeks of common sense right, but it doesn’t read between lines or pick up on the nuances of arena.

It was disingenuous of you to claim I really moaned my head off about the 100-0 video I posted, was just a bit confused and surprised, and I learnt a lot from it so 0 regrets. It’s still there, even though I cannot even find it myself yet you seem to remember it vividly 3 months later :S

All I’m saying is Hunters being able to do an absurd amount of damage from Camo stealth, in a very short time window isn’t fun for the other person and isn’t really great for game health but I cba to openly discuss it. Afterall , who is to say 3 months from now you won’t twist things and claim I cried about MM ?

It’s also a pity you didn’t pick up on the satire regarding rogues

Actually a question for any hunter mains -
What is the CD of these offensive CDs that you commit from Camo? Sniper Rapid Fire Chakram Explosive?

I have to say, why do this “noob stomper spec” keep being the excuse for everything? xd
Arms say they are the noob stomper
WW says they are the noob stomper
insert spec” says they are the noob stomper

I guess they shouldnt have nerfed certain casters either because they were the noob stompers. :face_exhaling:

Yeah, it’s the same principle with all high-burst/no setup specs. But MM is the king in that regard :joy:

It was disingenuous of you to claim I really moaned my head off about the 100-0 video I posted

It’s banter, I figured you woulda remembered me, was hoping you’ll pick it up with a smile, not rebound xd But yes, I do remember it vividly, because it’s the epitome to exactly what everybody says - it’s a noob stomper. Literally every spec has an answer to it, all you have to do is to know stuff. You don’t die randomly, like peopel would e.g. to enha shamans aoeing down the entire 3s team, ele shaman quadruple proccing lava overload, or dying to unhealable uhdk burst damage, you die to lack of knowledge, that’s what makes a noob stomper a noob stomper.

Didn’t pick up on rogue satire cuz I didn’T really even finish the comment, as a matter of fact I just came in and saw your name and wanted to pick on you a little bit xd

Because everyone would know that is banter. Reads like genuinely obvious banter. Off a char I’ve never interacted with

I agree with all that but these things are just factors into bad game balance
You can call it “noob stomper” sure
Just like if a DH trinkets rogue full kidney as he used CDs, then dies 20s later when it’s off DR and he has dance again xD Extreme counter example but still applies

Blur first global vs MM hunter out of camo , cool , pray he is bad and there isn’t another melee in the lobby , or you’re toast xD

On a site note though, we good

Another comment about noob stompers. I think there should only be a very small amount, like very small, specialisations that you can consider a noob stomper. With the most obvious being Fury Warrior. If someone lacks game knowledge / experience, or is new to the game or Player vs Player, then they will have a tough time and usually die to them. If you’ve got quite a lot of specs that people claim are noob stompers or justify off game balance by calling them noob stompers, well

atleast trap drs get fixed next patch so they actually DR! (cries in deserved hunter tears)

The point is this won’t happen to you against an MM. MM can’t kill you in a nonsensical manner, if you lose to MM, you lost to yourself, not game design. In terms of 3s, you’re literally expected to press Blur on Chakram RF combo, because it’s the fastest to do so, it’s your own CD, and it’s the least valuable cooldown to trade, since it’s both short CDs. If your teammates let you die afterwards, that’s not your problem, unless you proceed to die in the middle of a map without cooldowns ready.

Again, a noob stomper is a spec that kills you if you suck, not if they are unbalanced. That’s why there’s the noob implication, it stomps noobs. If you can’t counter without overextending, it’s bad game design, if you can, it’s a noob stomper.

might as well try speccing into g pyro while we’re at it xd
