I cant decide which one to pick, i really like aff more, i havent tried beta but heard its not viable for raid and mythic dungeons, or have i heard wrong, please give me some advice. =(
From what I hear aff is really good for both. It’ll come down to numbers tuning though, both classes have good kits for both kinds of content.

Hunter is better for now.
Affliction is pretty weak right now due to defensive issues. If you play lock, you will most likely end up playing playing Destruction due to the mastery helping you to survive.
Otherwise pick what you like and hope for changes, but I would not recommend that. Release of BFA was the exact same issue and it took them almost a year to add demon armor, so keep that in mind (and even then aff was still unplayable for the rest of the expansion).

MM hunter for sure.
It’s more versatile (freezing trap, feign death and what not). It deals more damage with less effort, is way more tankier and feels smooth to play where Affliction is very cluncky.

Not sure about MM in PvE guys? BM is the better spec right?

i feel like he’s asking for an opinion for pve.
affliction is atm one of the, if not the best dps for the new raid. it’s doing a lot better in m+ too.
idk if this helps but just play whatever you enjoy.
