I don’t understand why MM hunters always end up getting the short end of the stick, eventually. I’ve played all specs in arena at 2.4+. I’m no star player, but I think I can somewhat hold my own playing this class.
I understand the hate towards BM in the community. I’m not very fond of it myself since It’s not as rewarding and engaging to play.
But it feels like when MM is viable in PVP, it usually means they are OP in PVE and they end up nerfing it so it becomes the worst spec of the 3 for PVP.
What’s sadder is that the easiest (BM) always ends up being the strongest. After all hunter is a pure dps class, and all MM usually has is damage. Because outside of that, it’s the most vulnerable and the easiest to counter.
If they feel OP in PVE or in Battlegrounds, shouldn’t they be nerfed in these places?
Otherwise you run the risk of ruining the fun for the players who love to play that spec on arenas. Because they end up forced to play BM to not feel useless.
First of all, MM was never OP, or even good in PVE this patch, especially with DR tree.
It was strong in PVP and deserved the first nerf to survivability (if you do high burst dmg, you shouldn’t also be that tanky). However, it was never as busted as feral, pre nerf affli, spriest, or current BM, so I can’t understand why they nerfed it so many times and left it basically unplayable in both PVE and PVP.
I don’t mind BM being good, but I don’t believe a playstyle, that allows you to send your pets to attack a target, while LOS ing and running from pressure, should be rewarded with the highest dmg in the arena (which im seeing over and over again).
