well scattershot exists , insta freezing trap exists for some reason (no animation like in wotlk) so it is not that hard for a hunter to get his range back either . next phase you also gonna have if not yet 20% root on wingclip. Also blink is 20y hunter is 41 so its not like mages spawn on you if you have a problem with mages as a hunter idk what to say really

You have an animation of landing trap. Blink and 2 steps allows you to be in a deadzone. All 100 freezes you have allows you to stay in that range. You fight against class who literally canāt move anyway but on their feet with 100% speed and canāt attack you in 8 yard range or closer and you have problem with thatā¦ you need them to be AFK to fight them?
Anyway if you play against a hunter why do you stay at range ? We canāt hit you if you are further 42 range

Ye chimera buff needs reverting. 110% weapon damage is about right.
Rough matchup for mage - but not impossible - its a bit like how it feelt as a hunter in vanilla vs mage, but now for mages

If you get the jump you have a shot (I.E start within hunters deadzone) - if the hunter see you from afar its gg. Frost hybrid heal is pretty strong though - and you can always reset (poly hunter, kill pet - if hes running LW - blink into him, heal - reset (poly until rapid fire is off). If you have enough stam gear you should survive the initial burst (ice barrier + mana shield) + poly + heal).
Atleast you have a chance, not like your fighting a shadow priest or rogue.
But yeah they made MM also into a insane no cast burst spec. Leaves little room for counterplay, but thats been the theme for SOD PvP.
I think we didnt need instant aimed shots, nerf it so it only reduces cast down to 1,5 sec.
It would make hunter mm back to the bottom charts in pve
