MM no pet and self heal

This sounds pretty cool and any type of bird especially eagle or raven does fit mm well. Looking forward to it and as it looks like mm continues as the only hunter spec worth playing in blitz and any normal pets in general in there are just in some cc constantly and rendered useless, its better if they get something else instead :dracthyr_a1:

Generally blizz does not balance around solo/open world content. That is mainly because they make certain specs the easier choice to complete that mode.

Mages as stated have even less healing than hunters. That is the reason most mages level up as frost, since that provides the best kiting potential for solo. Same thing with hunter, if you want to solo/level up, you always can go BM which can boast insane solo potential.

I think that people are very confused and need time to think about this
play MM or something to see how long its heal cds are, all the other classes have much shorter cds, this was ok because pet was taking for MM and there is mend pet spell to heal pet

Have we seen the actual talent calculator yet? Could be they make some changes to make MM less squishy.

Hunter heal cd averages out close to mage shield.

But generally you missed my point that specs are not balanced for leveling/solo content. If someone wants to have an easier time leveling with MM, they just switch to BM.

They are buffing Wilderness Medicine, thats pretty good. But thats about it for now and it is for all 3 specs.

Hunter does have self healing tho. Less than some other classes, but still - hunter isn’t supposed to take dmg anyway, with pets and traps, feign death and all that. Hunters use pet to tank dam, yse traps to kite when they get aggro.

This homogenization is what killed the game. Everyone wants long stuns, everyone wants gap closers, everyone wants self healing.

Take Rogue - it was about stuns, setups, high burst. Now every dps has same stuns and lockdown potential, while doing higher burst and dps. And what did Rogue get? Nothing.

MM is a ranged DPS that is supposed to kite and stay far to avoid damage, and has a toolkit for it. Why do you need self healing on top of that?

Because it is too fast paced and twitchy now and you end up kiting into another pack of mobs.

Not actually true Mage barrier is a 25second cooldown Exhil is around 65-50seconds even in the best case scenario. (barrier is worth the same as Exhil approx)

But the big difference is that Mage is created to not have a pet while hunter is created to have a pet.

To be clear if they make sure to do a lot of help to MM this can be a good thing i am not hating on the idea i am disliking that there is not even an option for when you are soloing.

This is not true unless you manage to have an insane amount of haste 24/7

This is literally not true with Hero talents it specifically added survivability for solo content.
And that is blizzard who has said.

Hunters have a very specific like to their different specs very often many people who play MM will not touch BM until they are forced to by balance being so horribly bad that there is no other choice to continue playing it.
Many would rather reroll a different class then to change spec.

Do you see the problem there MM is losing their pet.

And if you have a Pres evoker in group you need to basically be in melee range.

Why do rogue need self healing on top of their already powerful toolkit?

People should be glad for mm losing the traditional pet if anything, if we speak of pvp then only content mm is good in is blitz and there the traditional pet is constantly stuck in some of the gazillion aoe ccs and roots in the game now so the hunter loses its all abilities anyway most of the time unless you keep it beside you and then you lose whatever dmg it adds or its melee range stun.

Having some non traditional pet what they are now planning for mm is a good change forward Imo, I think it will play out well pvp considering. Mm have always hated to weave between lone wolf and summon pet for its abilities like freedom, roar of sacrifice and pet stun and then dismissing it again for lone wolf, doing all that has always been clunky at best. Its good if they are getting rid of it but still keeping the theme of pet along but as some companion in the sky that marks targets for the marksman and so on.

Theres a new honor talent too named aspect of the fox that lets you cast aimed shot while moving
