So according to Bloodmallet, my Sinister Gladiator’s Badge is 3rd best in slot and Kimbul-trinket is many places down.
I have a 405 Badge with a socket and a 400 kimbul without a socket. According to bloodmallet, this should be almost 20% dps ahead. However, simming it in raidbots, I still get higher DPS with the kimbul rather than the badge. Could someone please help me make sense of this?

Socket is worry 10-15 ilvl depending on your gear
But generally the difference will be down to the fact blood mallet uses the trinkets on a base 120 with no stats e.g.haste etc. So once you apply your stats in a raidbots sim it becomes alot more accurate
aah that would explain it. So basically i cant rely on bloodmallet at all but have to sim it.
if you go on the gear and best in slot section of icy veins near the bottom there’s a list of the better trinkets for hunter based on item level and everything, so that can give you a general idea of what to go for, but once you get it you have to do a sim using raidbots, it’s the only way to know for sure if it’s an upgrade or not.
