MMR needs removing and a new system introduced for the health of PVP

Here is a simple suggestion

Match Marking Rating removed

Match Making is now based on the ranking of the player. Ranking will be based on Personal Rating.

Rankings

  1. Placement (0 - 500 rating)
  2. Unranked (501 - 1000 rating)
  3. Combatant (1001 - 1400 rating)
  4. Challenger (1401-1600 rating)
  5. Rival (1601 - 1800 rating)
  6. Duelist (1801 - 2000 rating)
  7. Elite (2001-2200)
  8. Gladiator (2201-2400)
  9. Elite Gladiator (2401+)
  10. Rank 1 (Top 10 specs on the ladder)

This means if you reach 1601 rating, you will que into anybody that is rated from 1601 to 1800.

Each Win you will get 15 rating, Each loss you will lose 15 rating. Meaning rating is base don a positive, neutral or negative win ratio.

Each time you enter a new rank, you will be given a 2 loss charge each time you enter a new rank in which the 2 times you would be deranked, you rating will remain at the lowest level IE 1601, 1801, 2001 ect.

This means if you get to Elite and lose your first 2 games upon entering that bracket, you wouldn’t be deranked until the 3rd loss.

Inflation would naturally evolve throughout the expansion as more skillful players will maintain a positive win ratio and gain higher and higher rating, eventually surpassing the ranks, allowing players of equal skill to play at the ranks they are meant too

Yes win trading could exist, but this exist now and can’t be stopped

Streamers would naturally gain rating or have to deranked heavily

how would you like this?

The actual system is fine, they should just bring back % based rewards so people will play instead of afk the entire season and play the last week.

The problem isn’t the system but people thinking they have to wait to play cause it will be ‘’ too hard’’ or’ ‘‘impossible’’ to climb for them.

There is no secret, ladder is dead in all bracket cause people don’t play > mmr is stuck > meaning you don’t push.

Blizzard isn’t the one to blame but the player base.

This wouldn’t increase smurfing and boosting…at all :')

In TBC, it worked pretty much like this. Matchmaking was based on cr, MMR didn’t exist. If you created a new arena team, you would start all over again at 1500 and face 1500 teams, until you get higher. They later introduced MMR for a reason.
