Mob tag limit. Remove it from the game

Im not mad, you dont have the verbal skills to get me mad.

Ok, you’re not contributing to the topic at hand at all.

Go try flexing your “ClOsEd BeTA” to another thread, this one is about remoiving the target cap as you already forgot about.

What does a grouped instanced content have to do with a suggestion to remove a mob tag limit that applies to outdoor world content?

It’s a stupid limit, that really should be there. You think having them limit in the outdoor world makes people socialize since they need to group up? It doesn’t, just looking at recent pre-patch events for evidence of that.

The only social thing that happens (if you can even call it socializing) is people say “inv” in chat or send an “inv” whisper to somewhere.
People aren’t making friends in masses by group like this, and aren’t mass socializing at all. They are in the group and that’s that.

So what would be the difference between that group or just being ungrouped doing the exact same thing?

Is the social aspect of having “inv/invite” said everywhere in chat that important to the game?

Totally nothing to do with the fact that the dungeon finder wasnt a thing until the release of icc.

In these events that concentrate the players into a small area in order to kill a bunch of mob then I think you’re right that the current tagging isn’t great.
Or increase the tag limit to 20 or something.

People were pretty damn rude when I started back in TBC. I had the most horrific interactions with the playerbase as a clueless newbie. Those horrible people are the reason I am so kind to new players and like to help others.

It’s a miracle I kept playing tbh.

It’s anti-boting /multiboxing .
Swarms of druids either bear form or moonkin .

Oh, so THAT is what is going on! There were so many theories. Some people said groups even from own faction rob tag, so some said make one big raid group, and while that is one tag then, AFAIK the XP penalty in a raid group increases with each additional member.
The only observation I can confirm is that other-faction players do not cause gray tags simply by being other faction.

Maybe this is a measure taken to limit the XP gain from such special event gatherings. But the result is that leveling that way is damn slow. But maybe Blizzard doesn’t want one big farming pile. I mean, I could understand, it’s not as social as one might think.
