Moderator attention, please delete thread

You mean you flag posts that doesnt break the code of conduct? Cause you dont agree with what is written?

The downvote was not used as Blizzard had intended, which is why it was removed from the old forums. It was meant as a means to highlight topics that needed moderator attention, whereas we all used it as a way to disagree with people. It had the same result though, posts were buried.

You should only flag posts because you feel they need moderator attention. It’s not a downvote system like Reddit.

Sometimes you just know. There is a certain person on these forums who reports anyone who disagrees with him, ive been silenced 2-3 times just for answering the guy objective and non-offensive.

May I disagree with you?

under doubt

I’ve never reported someone for their opinion, unless it was racist or something similar. I do report those who insult others though.

The one thing that really annoys me is people who state their opinion as fact and when you challenge that they say things like “go find the proof yourself” or point you to google to find proof of their point of view.

When you don’t and put the burden of proof on them to prove they are right they are aggressive and use phrases to insult the way you think like “concrete thinking”.

Proving stuff on these forums is quite limited tho. But in general the proofburden is on the one who claims something.

Oh you’re back, I’m so glad, I missed you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

If you don’t know then you need to go educate yourself.

No, but they can’t make a counter argument and devolve into Insults I will report them.

What do you mean? Did you make an argument, claim something as the truth then refuse to prove it?

Seems to be if you do not adhere to the echo chamber rules you are shouted down and flagged

lmao. You have to learn when to let things go. Who is in control here? You? Or them?

These line by line veto item repsonses make me laugh my rear end of.

Hook, line and sinker…reel em in boys…they bite for every hook no matter if it is baited or not

But are you really? I am not singling you out here but you have brought up a good point.

Everyone goes on about how this forum is an echo chamber for the ‘White Knights’ and ‘Shills’ (sic) but you’ll notice that the majority of high rated posts are those that are highly critical of Blizzard albeit mostly in a constructive way and not just a ‘Bli$$ard are rubbish’ shout into the void.

So whose echo chamber rules are being followed the most?

Yeah i’m back. Sadly for you and your friends, the silence lasted only 24h . Maybe next time.
Thank you btw.

Trust me, not to be offensive, but i’m 10x times more educated than you.

Hmmm…i feel you kinda agreed with me then suddently you changed:

Thank you for finally admitting the facts.

Let’s say that i’ll let you remember “what you did last summer in the woods”. I don’t need to prove nothing. I know with who i am speaking.

Where did you get your doctorate? I got mine from the University of Hull.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I don’t think they do either :woman_shrugging:

Don’t make me laugh. Doctorate is a waste of time.
Getting it just takes time and little effort.

I do not understand why you think posting in white has any bearing on people mass flagging or posting on a battle tag basis. Even if I posted with my battle tag it would still be in green.

Probably wise, you can whinge about MVP’s all you like, and that’s fine, but if you single out a specific person by name as the source of your ire, that’s still something that can get you a silence, MVP or not, so its probably more sensible to be honest.

Which smart guy said that? The internet has yielded me nothing on that quote. I mean it is a pretty easy quote to refute to be honest, I can give you numerous examples of truth that are not taken as offence, and facts are not ignored for feeling. In fact it is a rather foolish quote in this day and age, where the opposite seems to be the case, if you look at some prominent figures in the world.

Interesting, was that a paid career move, or were you bitten by something radioactive or had gamma waves that gave you this power?

What a bizarre statement. Why should they? It only carries as much weight as anyone’s else’s post and does not seem to cause any particular problem for anyone else, again, we’re coming back to this actually looking like a personal beef, not any thought out reasoning.

"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized: "

Why do people feel the need to “Call out racism?” Because as we societally evolve we realise it is a deeply problematic and unpleasant attribute some people have, that our mutual Species could, and should rise above?

Not at all, I don’t like it either, just personal taste, I mean it was first released in 1978 as a song about female empowerment, nothing to do with gay people, it only became anthemic for -some- gays later. Plenty of gay people I know also hate it, some love it, same as ‘Straight’ people. I neither love that song nor hate gay people, you can do both…

Again, nope, why should it? The piece of music was first composed in 1854 and performed in 1856, well before the fella with the daft moustache was even conceived, or his ideas of politics existed. Its also nothing to do with Germans or Germany, you’d want Wagner’s ‘Lohengrin’ for that which references a character dating back to 1210, from ‘Parzifal’ so again, nothing to do with the silly moustache man.

It appealed to their cultural ideals (Which was odd, as they then went on to invade the countries where the opera -was- set) but that means nothing. I like the Film ‘Trainspotting’, I love the track ‘Lust for Life’ by Iggy Pop. That does not mean I want to follow the lifestyle choices of an Edinburgh drug addict…

Enduring part of human nature, it is how we tell stories, we foreshadow things by referring to things that have gone before, in history or legend. The Shining Golden Hero, who was our greatest Hope, who became our darkest Nightmare, is that Arthas Menethil or Darth Vader, could be either, going on from that, the humble youth who takes up a magic sword and rights all wrong? Luke Skywalker or King Arthur. HUman storytelling has always been about Stereotypes, and right or wrong, they’re here to stay most likely.

Anyone using a line like that, the chances are that they are not in fact 10 times more educated than anyone. Also, how do you even grade that, we can’t even agree on standards of education between nations as it is, how on earth do you come up with “10 times more educated” than someone, what format is that even supposed to take?

You can’t make ridiculous statements like that and expect them to stand without being held to some level of scrutiny.
