Molten Core groups in group finder

What’s up with all the Molten Core groups in Group finder lately?

Probably someone found an exploit and it’s being abused.

I believe those are boosting groups and it has somehow become the norm to list them in the Molten Core category.

I’d been wondering what they were all about too. They have been there for several months now.

A friend had spotted them during WoW’s anniversay and thought it was the anniversary event returning :upside_down_face:

Could be actual events. I remember spotting someone’s name that i know of and they host events over in the raid section as its cross faction(unlike custom) and 40 player cap(unlike dungeons)

A very popular and charismatic Spanish streamer usually sets up LFG raid groups with viewers for either doing past raids, helping casual players who still haven’t done the primalist future event, etc. I know that the group is often set up as ‘ancient raid’ with the Molten Core selection, as it must be the first option on the drop-down

Not sure if this what you guys are referring to, but the one I’m talking about is certainly more about socialising / helping out casuals with past content. Not related to exploits though! :innocent:

its the first raid that pops up when you creat a classic raid group. i know some streamers create lobbies for tmog/av runs under molten core. maybe other stuff also uses it. dont join them except you know the purpose of the group

custom groups doesn’t allow cross faction but classic raids do. so thats why its listed under molten core.

Its boosters organising their group cross realm etc
Blizzard made boosting cross realm banable ,I hope they take measures on this issue
