Momentum needs to return!

Removing Fel Rush from the core rotation of Momentum (Now Exergy) entirely undermines the engaging playstyle that Momentum alone provides. Exergy is a poor, unfun replacement, that neither incentivizes nor encourages the same fun and thrilling gameplay, that Momentum has offered since the inception of the class.

Momentum is a stable of the fast-paced action of a Demon Hunter, and the Dragonflight / War Within Season 1 iteration perfectly captured this by allowing us to weave in our movement abilities seamlessly to keep momentum in the flow of combat.

The infamous and inept “no mover crowd” will not be satisfied, until Havoc has no shed of movement left for their damage output. An element which is wholly unique, and cherished by a lot who play the class. People will always be unhappy by talents such as Momentum, Inertia and even Exergy to come.

We have a Talent Tree to provide meaningful choices of player expression. The removal of Momentum from this equation is a net loss, as Exergy does not even come close to providing the extraordinary gameplay that Momentum did.

It is a passive, nothing-thing that is dull, boring and doesn’t play into the quick slash-and-dash playstyle that Demon Hunter portrays. Momentum -does- that.

Returning Momentum to Havoc is quintessential for such gameplay. Felblade can even be added to the rotation between Fel Rush, Vengeful Retreat and the Hunt to furthermore incentivize an active and swift pace during combat.

In my opinion, the mover part is the only thing fun about this class currently. Some of the main issues devs should focus on are that the setup for the burst windows is longer than the actual burst window. When you have everything on CD after the burst windows, all you do is spam Chaos Strike and occasionally Blade Dance. Immolation Aura taking too many GCDs if A Fire Inside procs. The class has too many flaws that just tinkering with them won’t help. Basically, DHs need a rework. Aesthetics-wise Fel-scarred’s main damaging ability cannot be a gas cloud. It would be better to spread out that damage for Metamorphosis.

While you’re entitled to your opinion I would like it if Blizzard could increase their competence in the area by playing their game and the classes they develop.

The solution for Havoc isn’t mover/no-mover but a tree that can effectively handle both styles without browning its own pants.

In short, we need a developer that is competent, plays the class, and does their job.

Hell naw. Even Vengeful > Felblade bugs a lot, but it’s much better than having to Fel Rush to do damage.
