I love ww monk playstyle(rotation, flow) its fast and its just fun to play…BUT aesthetically i dont really like it i prefer swords to fists and also lore wise its doesnt resonate with me. I want to join venthyr covenant(because i love theme) but its doesnt make any sence in my head with monk. Do you have any solutions ?
I don’t understand what you need help with?
If you prefer swords to Fists, just visit transmog. Can relate to Venthyr, I want that door of shadows ability but not keen on the Vampiric aesthetic.
You can fix most of this game’s theming problems with a good transmog, ESPECIALLY for Monk. Monks share quite a few set pieces with Rogues, DHs and Druids - if you get creative you can make something which might fit what you want more readily. One of my monks is literally wearing a full rogue set.
Monks are also not limited to fist weapons, if you have two one-handed weapons equipped you can transmog One-handed Swords, One-handed Axes and One-handed Maces as well as fist weapons.
Also, thematically Monk doesn’t really fit any covenant. Once I realized that, I found it easier to pick a covenant, surprisingly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with picking Venthyr though - if you want your Monk to look the part, I highly recommend the glyph that changes your Crackling Jade Lightning to red, and again, rogue transmogs (they’re usually red/black, dark and spooky).
Unfortunately there’s not too much I can suggest on Monk lore as a whole, apart from to read up on it on the Wow Wiki if you haven’t, perhaps read about some prolific monk characters or even about Pandaria/The Wandering Isle, where the practice is popular - it’s actually quite a fascinating class. Its lore isn’t the reason I love the class, but the lore did make me love it more.
