Hey! I am looking for a suggestion. I play a MW monk and i am looking to switch my profession from alchemy to something else. Where could i find some good utility paired with good gold making?
I like engineering for utility and enchanting for gold. When a new expansion comes out with enchanting its free gold while questing and dungeoneering with no extra effort.
I dont know how it would help you as a monk just utility in general like teleporting around the world, mailbox, etc.

Alchemy + Engineering is best combo. Alchemy is a decent source of gold (and gives you a nice trinket), Engineering gives you battle res, and various gadgets that are mighty useful (belt knockback is lovely on both Necrotic and Sanguine weeks, for example; and wormholes help you travel faster to various locations).
You’ll need an alt with herbalism + mining though, to supply your main with materials, unless you want to buy them from the AH. As far as I remember, in SL, there will be only one glove enchant, for all gathering professions (instead of one for mining, and one for herbalism, skinning, etc), so a herbalist + miner alt will gather both kinds of nodes faster with it.
