Since I’ve seen some people unhappy about the (latest) reward choices for completing the log, I believe an improvement to the trading post would be to make the monthly reward a token.
This token could be exchanged for any of the items offered in that month in the trading post.
A free item, if you want. But only usable in the month obtained. No hoarding tokens. Just gain it and use it.
Thoughts?
We used to get mounts, Weapons or full armor sets.
Now it is a pet or just a watch on the arm, Ofc people are gonna be annoyed
bring out the hoodies and skins!
forget allied races, make them into skins for monthly travelers log
i don’t think they’d do that but it would be useful for me. i dont care about the watch i want mount and ensemble but can’t afford both
it´s a shame that they are not creative with what they are truly capable of. the real good stuff has to be paid by real money, or in some un related game just for wow items.
at this point they can give us free coins for end of month reward or this free item token.
i see what they are doing. Selling coins in the shop for the “cool” stuff in the trading post. in the past it was the end of month reward.
what was the last good monthly reward? harlequin, blood set 10 years ago? 
I’m not annoyed. I’m relieved.
I don’t feel forced to complete it because I know I’m not missing out on much.
There’s still the 12 month reward.
You always have to complete.
Dude, I am not spending much time in wow and mostly finish in the second week… or the third if i am really really lazy and I am not actively do anything for the log.
Its just free goodies
I haven’t always wanted the monthly reward either. It’s all relative, they will never be able to please anyone. I just let the journal finish itself, really.
I don’t like it very much.
I only spam arenas. I cap at 500/1000.
The monthly reward is a FOMO mechanic. Blizzard designed it as such.
They know there are better and more reasonable ways to design the Trading Post - they don’t need suggestions as if they aren’t aware of that, they’re aware alright.
But it’s working as intended for the purpose it was made.
I found the watch rather creative. Don’t think there is any other?

It ain’t FOMO; they’ve literally said any of those items will come back in future. There’s a 999 tender cost for these rewards on wowhead. Annoying thing is they’re taking their sweet-a$$ time bringing them back.
Not only are people disappointed with the rewards for completing tasks, but also with the items themselves. The current Pet is very average, and next month’s watch is even worse compared to previous months. Additionally, Trading Post itself was interesting at the beginning, but currently I have 2700 Trader’s Tender and honestly, I have nothing to spend it on.
or put some mounts in instead of some reward barely anyone likes and make 2 mounts same month and they cost 800 each
I have 8225 - that is how un inspiring the TP is for me. There are very few items that grab my attention and the 1 million recolors of the same thing makes me go even more meh. I think there is one item in January I will purchase as its an updated version of Robes of Battleguard but that’s about it for me.
The free goodies for completing the tasks is neither here nor there to me. It’s just another useless collectable or mog I probably will never ever use. Most of the weapons, cloaks or mogs bleed through your character in one way or another. So if they cant be bothered to perfect them I can’t be bothered to chase after them.
The pet was fine last month. But the very small tiny transmog (wrist I assume?) is just… Come on… It feels like it was just a quick throw in w/e there.
At least we get 2 new mounts and some cool looking transmog and pet to purchase this month. Better than nothing at least.
Sounds good in principle, but you know that everyone will just cash that token in for the highest priced item they want that month. So… It would essentially be like giving us an extra 600-900 tender each month. That sounds like a bit much.
I actually feel the opposite. The pet was useless and boring and ugly and the watch transmog looks awesome and I’ll definitely get some use out of that.
It’s fine to not like every single month’s reward; taste differs after all.
