Mookin Interrupt

I feel this may have changed a little, not sure. In brackets above ten, there are consistently more frost mages now, and some of the top teams started to run with three melee dps.

It’s not an AoE silence, it’s an AoE interrupt. It will “only” interrupt what mobs are casting at the time of placing the Solar Beam, but it will not prevent mobs from casting even if they are standing in the Solar Beam. It’s still powerful and doesn’t need a shorter CD.

It does silence and prevent mobs from casting, unless said mobs are immune to silences (like bosses are for example)

There are mobs that will cast even though they are in the Solar Beam. Mobs whose casts are otherwise interruptable (so not spells that can’t be interrupted). It’s easy to test in places like Underrot with the maggots or the skeletons for example. I know that players can’t cast while they are in the Solar Beam, and I originally assumed that it would be that way with mobs also, so it was surprising when I saw mobs affected by Sunbeam still casting interruptable spells.

Yeah, that’s what I mean with mobs immune to silences

And blizzard really sprinkled that immunity on a lot of mobs in BfA dungeons,so I can absolutely see why it can feel that way

So there are trash mobs whose spells can be interrupted, but that can’t be silenced? I didn’t actually know that – it does explain the contradicting observations and information I’ve made/heard.

As Priest - yes there are, … there are plenty.
Not only is the silence on a much longer cooldown than most interrupts, some mobs/casts can only be interrupted but not silenced and as I main Discipline, I am pretty frustrated when I learn about that via someone eating a ton of damage of a cast I tried to silence.
And Druid has to face the same problems. In some situations it’s a hard caster life. On a different note, I prefer ranged classes, by a lot.

Shame that as a boomie you cant play with other ranged classes, cause then we will not be able to interrupt what needs to be interupted in a dungeon. Have a ranged friend? Forget doing keys with him at higher level…

At least you have an interrupt. I’d have to cripple my dmg as demonology warlock if I were to use felhunter in content…

Boomkins are good enough allready)
U allready got plenty of utility, that others dont. Soothe, CR, stealth, nice mobility, really good solo and multi target dps. On top of that u got uniq AOE interupt, that also prevents casting in area for couple of seconds. Yes, its cd is 45 sec, but its great allready.

1 min cooldown on beam. I see you run as healer, not balance in M+, so might not be totally updated on hpw bad our AOE is compared to other specs ;p
