Moonfire won't hit secondary target when initiating combat

When starfire is used on a target to initate contact that has nearby allies it deals damage to them too. However, when moonfire (twin moons) is used it won’t hit a secondary target unless the secondary target is already in combat.

Surely this is a bug? I believe the same is with Sunfire when Improved Sunfire is taken. It won’t apply the DOT to nearby enemies.

yea its always been like this. I believe its because imp. sunfire and twin moons are labeled as dots and dots can only be applied to targets not infight with you via explicit targeting…
I think twin moons could pull grps you dont want to pull otherwise if they are just 15y apart? idk
Just keep it in mind and pull with starfire, then dot :man_shrugging:

Yeah I noticed this, this is why I open with Sunfire when I want to tag multiple mobs now.

Moonfire (with twin moons) does not spread to targets not in combat. Sunfire (with improved sunfire) does. If you are pulling mobs in the outside world use sunfire.
