Hi!
Myself and a couple of friends have recently come back to WoW, MoP Classic specifically, and when we played it originally in retail, we enjoyed a lot of the different aspects of the game, PvP and BG:s being amongst this.
Now we have been playing for a while, and haven’t been able to do Battlegrounds / BGs since coming back, regardless of the level. Not at end game yet, so haven’t tried it there, but regardless of doing random or specific, using old interface or new, reinstalling the game, looking for problems with the firewall, the queue time comes up as “unavailable” “queue time Unavailable”, and we never get to enter.
What is going on?
I’ve read that it’s a known issue, but why haven’t it been resolved then?
I tried contacting support by creating a ticket, and I’ve also submitted a big report, but the first response I got was something that felt like an ai-made response directing me to the troubleshooting support page with all the “reinstalling the game, removing cache folders and double checking the firewall setting” bull and that I otherwise should ask forums and 3rd party site or my internet provider for help, nothing about the real issue in game.
So question is, what the hell is going on?
PvP Battlegrounds aren’t dead, unless Blizzard makes them dead, because if there’s a couple of us that I know want to do PvP and BGs, then there’s bound to be more out there, so why isn’t this problem resolved?
I hope someone might be able to spread some light on this matter, and perhaps that fellow MoP PvPrs might see this, especially if they got the same issue, and that we all get the help we need so that we can enjoy this game together.
I would imagine they are dead?
Lower level ones you are trying to join would probably not pop. It would more likely be lv85-99 ones only.
Seems unlikely, the amount of players should let it at least be some Dungeons, even if there’s a long wait time.
But if that is the case, why not just answer that as someone working at support?
And why not try to find solutions to make it more popular and alive?
It means nobody/very very low pop is queque for bgs or dungeons…
It was the same on anniversary on wsg outside of wsg weeknds on weekdays due to the fact no ppl was queque to it.
Sadly not alot of people playing mop. And even less on lower levels so there is nothing blizzard can do to “fix” it.
Interesting, because I have made a support ticket and that hasn’t been reason for it according to the responses I have received so far.
And as I wrote, they have got the technology and possibility to make Battlegrounds possible at low levels, since there obviously are people who want to pvp.
But if there ain’t, then just remove the feature until lvl 85 to avoid disappointment, and make it some how possible to buy previous pvp gear some other way, look for solutions and opportunities, and don’t just disregard them.

There are 2 things to explain that :
-
A lot of ppl nowadays are not playing in a slow pace and take pleasure in many aspects of the game but to min-maxing things and follow trendy “metas” (monkey run…).
-
Dungeon finder killed BG queues at low level.
It’s like BG queue is paused if ppl queue for Dungeons and BG at the same time and i think most ppl are doing that, going to the fastest activity available…not sure about the bg queue paused but in any case, if ppl are queuing for BGs and Dugeons at the same time they will always have a dungeon pop before BG and there will never be enough ppl available at the same time to have a bg pop (imagine for a 40vs40 AV…).
