Hey. yesterday i was pugging heart of fear and after some wipes at the 2. last boss players left. now we tried to fill up like on retail but we couldn’t. they had like some kind of raid lockout.
is that how it worked with 10/25 man raids? its literally unplayable to pug raids then which is sad. Some boss mechanics did so much damage, that we wiped instant. For example this pheromone ability from the bug with the circles around its legs and many more. normal raid felt like mythic retail. 1 fails and wipes the group
Normal raids back then had a boss based lockout which means you can only kill every boss once and can’t enter an instance id where a boss you’ve killed is still alive.
Heroics back then functioned like mythic raids do today, where once saved you are tied to a specific id until lockouts expire.
The exception is SoO as it was the first raid to use the modern lockout system.
And yes raids back then weren’t that pug friendly.
