Morally grey themes in the Alliance that Blizzard should explore more

We don’t know if it was the entirety of the legendary Kul Tiran fleet or just a fraction of it. The latter makes much more sense from a strategic standpoint, why would Daelin leave his people defenseless by bringing the entire Kul Tiran Fleet along with him?

The only reason why the Kul Tirans lost was because Daelin died, it’s entirely possible that the outcome would have changed had Daelin killed the half-breed mongrel and his band of savages instead of being bested in combat and betrayed by his daughter. Indeed, Daelin’s forces were resisting fiercely against the gathered full might of the Horde, putting up a very good fight, and they only surrendered after Rexxar told them to stand down moments following Daelin’s tragic sacrifice.

And anyway Daelin’s army was so powerful that it alone would prove to be an equal match against the entire Horde comprised of an infinite variety of different factions and cultures. There were times when Daelin even gained the upper-hand, such as when his army devastated an orcish force leaving only Gar’thok as the sole survivor, or when Daelin’s navy was bombarding and devastating the miserable Darkspear Trolls, the weakest and most insignificant of the Jungle Trolls.

Of course what we got so, far was good first Drustland Ghosts of the Past.

Ah Yes, the ghosts of Arom Waycrest, whose people was attacked unprovoked by Gorak Tul, who was so bloodthirsty and ruthless that some Drust willingly defied their own vicious people and decided to join Arom instead.

Why Would Daeling Spare expenses to save his Daugther, knowing fully well the Horde was there??
Is the better question.

He didn’t know that the orcs were there, hence why he was surprised to see the half-breed Rexxar at his daughter’s side.

You made a bold claim. The Kul Tiran fleet followed Daelin, to which I raised a valid doubt, that we do not if it was the entirey Kul Tiran fleet. So far, nothing you said convinced me that every single Kul Tiran ship indeed followed Daelin.

You are telling me the guy Striking into Orc Territory building Several bases within it and assaulted the Dark Spear, tried to have Thrall assasinated through a fake meeting?
Didn’t know the orcs were there until he Saw Rexxar at Jaina’s Side?

Regardless my point is at Valid as yours, Daelin went with a full Assault force powerful enough to Establish outposts, attack the Dark Spear, fortifie said positions and so on.

The man had the full Authority over the Navy as Jaina does now.
And he was Very protective of his Daugther.
He clearly did not pull punches when he Assaulted Durotar Considering His Hatred of the Orcs and the fact his Only Daugther was out there the Kul’tirans gained Ground til the Horde Knew it was them Upon which they got Pushed back to Theramore.

And seeing in modern times how the whole Navy was Caught in a Storm we can safely Assume the Fleet sails as one Big Juggernaught unlesd ordered Otherwise.

There is no Solid Proof he did or Didn’t and I do doubt we’ll find agreement on opinion Alone.

He did divide his fleet though

Official Orders For The Kul Tiras Fleet

I, Admiral Proudmoore, shall lead the first landing upon the shores of Kalimdor.

Lieutenant Benedict will be second in command in my absence. All domestic Kul Tiras military matters will be handled by him. If I do not send word from Tiragarde Keep within 12 months time, Lieutenant Benedict will lead the second wave to hold the location.

Meanwhile, I am sending Lieutenant Alverold on an exploratory mission around the continent of Kalimdor. His forces are to complete their mission and then join our forces at Tiragarde Keep.

It is anticipated that Lieutenant Alverold’s mission will last quite some time. The new land seems vast and dangerous. But should any misfortune befall myself or Benedict, Alverold’s troops will retake the Keep.

We will send wave after wave until that stronghold is ours!

–Admiral Proudmoore

Next time don’t berate the Kul Tirans by stating something vague and incorrect.

Oh finally something from the game pass wc III.

let’s see
Lieutenant Benedict

Oh right the Npc in the orc starting zone you kill retrieving these orders, only further suggestion that the Kul’tiras did bring pretty much everything.

Lieutenant Alverold

nothing on him.
Looks like Blizzard forgot about him.

and from the chronicles.
Chronicle reveals that after Daelin’s death, most survivors of his fleet sailed back to the Eastern Kingdoms

you can check it on wowpedia as I do not have trust level 3.
and these survivors is basically how daugther of the sea song came to be.

conclusion we are still at cross-roads with no direct source supporting either side.
we only know that the forces Daeling brought was originally split into three groups the main, the back up and the explorer.
well the main was bested with Daeling, the back up continued the campaign and had their leader slain.
and the third was forgotten by Blizzard.

except if you head to wowpedia and write the Kul’tiran fleet it is stated and sourced that the current fleet is a rebuild one from the remains of the old one.

someone with trust level 3 please link it. as I cannot.

It says that it is the successor to the fleet of the Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, not the entire Kul Tiran fleet. As is often the case, the fleet of a single character doesn’t have to be the fleet of the entire people. And anyway it says that it was only largely destroyed, not completely destroyed. Once more, you tried to berate the Kul Tirans by painting them as the most miserable race, and failed, as what you boldly claimed is very much debatable.

Try to use this for links
link
As mentioned.
We won’t come to an agreement on this.
And the following page States just as I do that the Kul’tiran fleet lost.
Lost a lot of men and Ships and had to rebuild.
Kul’tiras then Stayed in Isolation with their Fleet pretty much we can Conclude the only kind of Action being Pirate’s til the TideSage Order betrayed Kul’tiras.

Your Fleet is not as powerful as you think.
And while no Single Nation can Match them at Present in the Seas thanks to the Alliance Sabotaging the Zandalari one.

The kul’tiran Fleet is not invincible and with out the aid of Stormwind and the Alliance would fall against the Horde Once more.

Now we know from mists that the Grand Allisnce Navy was in its Prime Around two hundred Ships.

So let’s assume the Kul’tiran Navy numbered 50, when they Returned could be more, could be less but we’ll go with 50.

Now the Horde War Campaign destroys 6 if I recall correctly 3 boarded 3 destroyed by the Scepter.
The final boss battle in the newest raid has 6 more Destroyed.
So, going by my Fictional number kul’tiras would be down to 38 Ships if the Over all number was 50 indeed.

Now Luckily for the Alliance the Scepter was Destroyed.
And than goodness for that Hate doom weapons like that.

But Still you get the Picture.

Didn’t horde retrieve Tide Pearl from Shrine of the Storm?

Rexxar says: “With the power of the Tide Pearl, our fleets will be unstoppable.”

I wonder if Blizzard remembers about it? Kinda like about King Dazar that is chilling in his tomb, and eye of Xibala.
Anyway I believe this item could be used to get some even ground - that is if Blizzard won’t forget about them.

The quest connected to it never made it to the live version of BA.

Hahahahahahaha

Okay, Arctur may sleep peacefuly then.
Anything that can by tiny bit help the Horde is scrapped or destroyed or forgotten.

#FactionPride!

You can keep your insults to yourself.

I didn’t insult you though?

I just said that if the Pearl remains to be scrapped stuff then Horde doesn’t have a tools to even damage the KT fleet. So you don’t have to worry? How is that insult?

Of course Rexxar still has his dialouge and all that. But. Outside of the dungeon? It is never mentioned again.

Could be…
Dunno does the Alliance go there for some other Reason.

I think the Alliance Steals it back, in their War Campaign.

Alliance have different artifact - Breath of Xibala if I remember correctly.

And honestly I hope it will bite both Alliance and the elves heavy in the butt for messing with troll artifacts. Zandalari didn’t gave permission to any of them to make any digging and stealing.

Completely different artifact.

I really think that if we want to explore “morally grey” alliance/horde issues, we need to first fix the fact that the horde has been a purely black evil faction since cata (and the forsaken since vanilla). I really like all these themes you are talking about, but they are pointless today:(
