Shadowlands was one of the worst expansions for Frost dk, The covenant abilities were not the best and the design choices absolutely ruined the spec’s flavor; Like:
1.Adding target cap to the game and nerfing the hell out of Howling blast with that.
2. Destroying the spec’s consistent damage completely.
3.Having to play the same build(Breath of the Sindragosa) for an entire expansion( Pve wise).
4.Adding Might of the frozen wastes(again) to the game to add more controversial to an iconic dual wield spec(with one-handed artifact weapon).
It is fortunate that we’ve endured that expansion(well atleast most of us) but We have most of these stuffs still being the case and they still exist in the game.
Examples:
Cleaving Strikes is one of the worst additions to Frost Dk in the whole history of WoW, It added clunkiness to one of the most fun and smoothest specs in the game.
Howling Blast is still hard capped and getting Rime procs is not rewarding at all! Rime used to be one of the most rewarding procs in the game because of how strong Howling Blast was; yet now we prefer to just focus hardly on Obliterate and ignore one of the spec’s core procs.
Although the consistency of Frost is not as bad as it was in Shadowlands and Dragonflight, it’s not great to say the least and Might of the frozen wastes still exists in the game instead of having the option to transmog your weapons the way you like.
Legion Frost dk was one of the best if not the best version of Frost dk, It had consistency, your cooldowns were rewarding, your procs and abilities all were rewarding to press and the spec was so smooth.
So…
the Feedback and Conclusion is:
- Remove Cleaving Strikes from Frost Dk.
- Make Howling Blast and Rime the rewarding tools they used to be(especially in AoE since by removing Cleaving strikes you’re nerfing your cleave potential).
3.Remove Might of the frozen wastes from the game to stop the confusion in weapon usage from the spec and add more transmog options.
