That’s okay if the fans want bling dinosaurs, but was it in the lore before has it shown up? can you understand that people want more for various reasons. sometimes it’s a combination of better was available before + wanting something superior to what they got.
I keep saying, to your urban based population, especially on alliance faction, just having an entire major race as forest hippies , chilling in a village is insufficient, no matter how tranquil that forest is. It’s nice to have a tranquil forest, but when there is nothing more, it becomes boring and un-interesting.
This is greatly exacerbated by night elves previously having a lot more than that, having a counter opposite/contrast to such. for every deep tranquil and stunningly beautiful forest, the lore has a contrast in a majestic and stunningly beautiful city . For every peaceful , serenely quite night elf, the lore has the contrast of a ferocious, near savage type aggression in battle that is formidable.
For every humble , plain and simple seeming druid, the lore has the contrast of a highly sophisticated and complex Highborne. For every great tree of nature, the lore has them with a great Well of arcane.
They are race of contrasts between wo extreme ends that they have balance between… having a great city does not preclude having a great forest nor vice versa… being peaceful, tranquil and serene does not preclude being fierce, dangerous and violent when fighting.
For living immortally, they have the contrast of dying mortal like.
And it is the contrast that is a classic feature of them…a juxtaposition of contrasting ends that makes them an enigma. This is how they are distinct… not by just having forests and druids. Every race has forests, and quite a few have druids (as well as mages and priests) - but only one is night based and only one has such contrasts.
