More changes ... sigh

The Only Constant in Life Is Change.

But games should stay same. Life is change enough.

This kills the spirit of classic way more than the current change. Classic Andys are a joke. “Noooo dont change any UI component!!! But give us chronoboon pls :)”

I want NO changes, no Chronoboom either, no stack mail, no … any “improvements” over Vanilla. Don’t shoot at me for other’s stupid!

When you say Vanilla do you mean 1.12, the version we got? Do you know what the version number signifies?

I know. I would have LOVED Vanilla progressing from beginning to 1.12 - what we got now is also not 1.12, but 1.15.

I wold love revisit - and this time keep old mounts!

I used addons for the DoT timers and cast bars anyway but that small map change as the default is a little bit annoying. I just hope they don’t get carried away by slowly adding more and more until we’re looking at retail’s UI.

Jesus these snowflakes

Yes as you say

So do I hope!

I know we have 1.15 now, that’s why I said “the one we got was 1.12”. Got, past tense.

“What we got now is also not 1.12, but 1.15” is in-proper English.

English may not be your first language, which is fine, but you still saw-fit to interpret and correct what I said as if it was said incorrectly. It wasn’t.

The one we have is 1.15, the one we got was 1.12.

Well we agree. If you do not see, put down to my odd English, as you think not my first ore even third language

Fair enough.

In terms of patches before 1.12 i faintly remember a lot of the fixes. There was definitely less quests as I recall some of the ones that were added. Things like “the missing diplomat” i’m sure were added afterwards but I may be wrong. I also remember having to grind big chunks of levels on just mobs like a Korean MMO.

There was also a bunch of items added but I only found out about that years later as never really looked into items.

One funny thing I do remember is aimed shot with shadow meld. You used to be able to go into meld and then start casting aimed shot…you wouldn’t be de-stealthed until the cast went off taking 3/4 (sometimes more) of their HP. Sitting in a bush in ashenvale waiting for someone to run passed then shooting them in the back while OP was pretty funny, especially at a young age.

Welll the shadowmeld part I never did, as i not do PvP, and I was Pally back then  I remeber like you not so many Quests, I remember old model horses, non-stacing mail, lots of small details. I would have much liked to re-visit this world.

I guess you have a lot of free time my friend… And also spending more time on forums than playing the game. Or not?

It’s zero iq to play without at least questie addon.

I dislike addons, and Questie in particular… In videogames in general I don’t like the mentality of an arrow over my head telling me where to go (provided the world is compelling and well designed, like old Azeroth is). It feels artificial and detracts from the illusion of openness and sense of exploration. It feels very game-y, so to speak.

That been said, old WoW’s UI does leave something to be desired in terms of QoL and usability in general so I fully understand the desire of end-game players especially for addons. My own time in WoW is spent almost exclusively leveling various characters and not raiding or PvPing, so I don’t really need them.

I play no addons  Questie is a p.i.t.a. dont like grouping up with ppl using it. Use own brains, not addon. I play most (only) HC, I like levelling and no addon siuits me fine for this.

And No, I spend way more time play than Forum. But have job with wait time, where Forum is fine, not play - Or I go forum while fly like now
