Hello!
I would very much like to see more cosmetic sets and titles added in the future with short quest-lines. I think the Class Order Hall was one of the best things the game did. It brought us a feeling of identity of our class, allowing us to delve into some of the earlier lore and the current story regarding our place in saving Azeroth. From it, we also got an awesome class-specific title (and some luckier classes, a mount).
Lately, we’ve seen a couple of questlines that do a similar thing, allowing us to partake in a bit of lore-discovery with rewards such as the “Of Lordaeron” title and the Dark Ranger customisation from their respective questline. We’ve also seen the rise of heritage armor questlines, allowing more identity with our character choices, giving us access to specific titles and armor.
I think this is a really good direction for the cosmetic side of WoW, especially coming from someone who sticks to WoW for it’s awesome history and lore. What I would like to see next is the opportunity to earn titles for specific class/race combinations. Example, I’m posting on a Tauren Paladin and I’d very much like to have a short questline to unlocking “Sunwalker” as a title, instead of having to use “Highlord”. I’m sure Blood elf Paladins feel the same, as I’m not sure if “Blood Knight” is an obtainable title in-game.
While on the subject of cosmetics, there is another thread that began in Legion I would like to see expanded on: the revival and update of older tier sets.
A lot of people complain about tier set designs, especially in later expansions. Some of the earlier ones are not only good, but extremely desirable because of how iconic they are.
We got to see a return to some of the TBC tier sets in Legion with updates that made them unique enough from their original counterparts to be exciting as well as recoloured versions as PVP sets. Having these options available, especially for very well-loved sets, is very exciting for transmog.
An idea I had was to have the Blackwing Lair sets return in the last patch of Dragonflight. Seeing as BWL itself was Dragon-themed, I’m sure they’d be able to pull it off, seeing a return to Ten Storms, Judgement, Wrath, Nemesis…all the oldies with modern graphics and a potential PVP recolour. If not…these tier sets reborn (as well as other old ones) are great rewards for, as I mentioned before, Class-specific questlines.
I’d love to know what you think. Hoping to see that Mythic version of Judgement some day…it’s already giving me goosebumps.
