We have a little problem maybe in the low population realm, for example Frostwhisper which is connected with 2 other low population realms, Bladefist and Zenedar. BG queues are very long, about 20mins or longer. Other problem I just realized is that many big guild are migrated away to bigger realms for example Stormreaver. Migrate costs too much. I have my main and all alts in Frostwhisper, so dont have that much money to migrate all 10 chars away and just dont want to lvl all new ones to other realm. Before someone says why you rolled on low population realm I just did not, MoP killed my vanilla guild and horde side on another realm, so free migrate was the reason I have moved to this low population realm. I’m so sad these low population realms are dying. Why you Blizzard dont merge big realms with low population realms? Playing in Frostwhisper I can see ppl from other realms too, Draenor, Tarren Mill and so on, but if I understand right, we cant join the guild in those realms. Is there coming a change for this problem in the future?
Hey bro, I hear what your saying as a Frostwhisper player myself. I have this and a few other alts left on FW after caving in and transfer in a couple of my main chars off.
Trust me it’s even worse for alliance!
There’s is a similar topic already started, not sure how to link it sorry but it’s in General discussion titled “Dead servers Megathread” posted by Vintoleth
Check that out and maybe post in there

I feel that they should merge more realms, remove sharding and go back to battlegroups with 1-2 free char transfers. Battlegroups were great - if you were PvE player you only played with other PvE realm players - no agression and if you played PvP you played against others who didn’t treat it serious. If you wanted to play PvP on highest level you either went to one of Cyclone or Misery servers and played there. It was natural selection of players. PvP players played with other top PvP nerds so you had people with similar priorities around. Nowadays everyone is mixed and it causes even more conflicts. Sharding makes you feel more alone so it actually doesn’t fullfill it’s role.
