I just checked warrior discord looked numbers and it seemed a nerf more than a buff. thanks blizzard. all you had to do is revert %3 aura nerf and aoe cap changes on roar and odyn’s fury but no ‘‘warrior dev’’ have to f… it up more.
do you really think buffing raging blow and and blood thirst will help our horrendous single target damage ? it will only boost up anger management a bit nothing else. so if we play anger management in raid we ll have more bladestorms in raid and we will do more aoe damage to raid adds therefore you will nerf us again doing more padding ? what is the plan really ? you didnt have to broke something that works and fury players love it.
They didn’t buff them, because nobody is running Anger Management and these only really affect anger management builds, not the Reckless Abandon versions of the spells. The changes on the PTR are pure nerfs across the board aside from the small indirect buff to AM talent.
Hey, it is a decent buff to my Thane Ravager AM build, so that is neato.
Sure, overall for max performance and that jazz, it might not be much or do any good. Yet, for Thane this actually helps and it is appreciated.
It is always only a question of how many of these changes to our talents before another set overtakes it in value. Then the script flips. Suddenly the buffs we got now was huge to make that happen.
Now, do I think this is the way to get to that point? No, I don’t think nerfing Slayer Fury is the correct way to push mountain Thane upwards. I also for sure don’t think or believe Slayer need any nerfs for M+ content. You can argue it is for the raid - but yeah… That is more a encounter design issue than anything.
Hey, at least it wasn’t another 3% aura nerf. So yay. They are only doing what I said they would, so many times, chip away at our burst. To make our damage profile just that little bit closer to the goal of flat and boring.
Fury didn’t need nerfing in the raid either, it was taken for one specific job and one job alone, to press bladestorm on adds so the other classes could focus more single target to meet the boss damage requirements.
Fury was good at that, the CD timings lined up perfectly for the encounter. Fury definitely didn’t need a nerf, certainly not a whole list of them. Minor buffing thane doesn’t change a lot.
If Blizzard are really incompetent and this isn’t just a case of us only having half the story, times are not going to be great in the near future for DPS Warriors, because even Arms gets hit, but at least in M+ Colossus is already preferred.
