Does anyone else here play on a 21:9 monitor?
I feel like they should be trying to optimise the UI for people with wider monitors. It feels weird that quest texts pop up on the very left of your screen or that the map is so far on the right.

Movable UI would fix this. One day…
I have a wide screen monitor (4k ultra HD) and I also encountered these issues. Luckily they can be solved with addons.
I use Sexy Map and any main UI replacement like Z Perl to move my minimap and UI to a more comfortable position. I’m sure there are some quest addons which lets you change position of the quest tracking too, have a look!
Yeah, if only there was a way to use like… addons or such to modify the UI to your own liking through a powerful API or something.
Even cheap and dirty F2P MMOs have a movable UI. It’s laziness on Blizzard’s part.
I’d rather have the customization that countless addons through the current API offers than being strictly vanilla UI only, but now it moves a bit.
Rather have the addons.
Who said it needs to be exclusive.
If that isn’t the point why not just use an addon to move the default UI? There’s several of those already…
Unless you just want Blizzard to do the work that’s already done for literally no reason.
Considering how many other games I play that have either very bad or completely absent ultrawide support, WoW is actually one I have no complains about.
I’ve got a AW3418DW and my god it’s like owning a Lamborghini in a street full of speedbumps sometimes.
Looks more like a password than a monitor
It was either that or saying: “The very sickest Alienware monitor money can buy” and I didn’t want to sound pretentious
Now who would come to that conclusion…
It’s not bragging if it’s true
