Probably named after their leader who slaughtered tons of sand persons and hated sand, which is coarse and gets everywhere.
You just need to befriend a fire mage, they can melt it into some lovely glassware for you!

Wowhead has an article on it and during Blizzcon one of the slides they showed of upcoming customization was various tattooed troll skins; I believe you can watch that bit for free on youtube.
Things that are subject to change of course, what with alpha being alpha and Blizzard changing their mind about things.

Think we are getting sand troll skin in Shadowlands.
Both frost and forest trolls are muscular and blood trolls are same as island trolls but with white skins.
Basically only thing we need is a HD remake of forest/frost trolls.
If that article is true, then it will be easy to Role play as any troll especially with the Tattoo options. I can make the tattoos red to role play as a Blood troll.
Yeah dwarfs and elves will be able to roleplay most any race of their species too, assuming what’s previewed and datamined so far makes it to release. As far as character customization goes, Shadowlands looks very promising so far I think.

They could be lorewise tied with Zandalari but for the game mechanics be available on Horde. It works for me. Zandalari aren’t super tied with Horde either, Talanji didn’t want for them to be merged.
Yes that is correct. But the Zandalari are fighting for/alongside the Horde as “equals” (her words). I doubt the Gurubashi and Amani would go along with the equal thing. Frost Trolls and sandtrolls? Yes. Maybe. Gurubashi and Amani hate is hella deep.
That maybe but there is Farraki skin in the customisation options, so yeah.
I am not bothered by this I can pretend united troll empire is growing on what was left of the Horde

Some trolls hated HORDE but all of them were looking up to ZANDALARI. With best trolls being at our side~ all the rest can follow.
Dark Trolls? Those are the only ones that are problematic. Still if we are getting some dark gnomes that appeared out of nowhere~
