I am leveling up this hunter and I tamed another pet. However my moth is still there as well. I seem to have two pets. Not that I mind, but I can’t abandon my moth?
Your talent is the answer.
Oh! Thanks! I looked on Icy Veins for BM talents and Animal Companion was suggested.
Yeah it is the go to talent. You need a third pet to dismiss your moth.
I tried to tame another one but it said I had too many pets already. I suppose that will come inlater levels.
No you need to do it without pet. Just right click your pet and dismiss.
It’s been a while but I think you have a limit on how many pets you can carry at low levels (correct me if I’m wrong). To be able to tame another either abandon a pet or leave it in the stable, so you have empty slots available among those you carry.
I dismissed my pet a few times now, it keeps giving me the same message.
I just checked a lv15 alt and I can carry 2 pets. If both slots are full you will need to either put one in the stable or abandon it so you have a vacant slot available.
I am at the stable master now and I am unable to figure out how to put the moth in the stable. I have put it in an empty slot and closed the windown but the moth is still there. I can’t abandon the moth either. What am I missing?
Is the moth in your stable, in the first slot.? Do you have animal companion as your talent choice.?
I have Animal Companion as a talent. I have the moth in the first sloth, tried different sloths no change.
Most likely, if you only have two pets(with you or in stables) the slot it’s been placed in does not matter.
With animal companion, it will call out both no matter what.
The pet in your first stable slot will always be the one used for your animal companion talent. You should now have a free taming slot and as long as you dismiss your current pet be able to tame another.
If you want to change the animal companion just put another pet in stable slot one.
Thanks everyone. I was able to figure things out due to the help from Nordheim.
