it’s good that it’s just in pve.
50% mortal strike worked in wrath because healing was high enough for it to make sense. i guess like pve healing is now. wrath had no pvp-specific numbers as far as i’m aware.
you can’t balance 50% MS without also nerfing the damage of the spec that has it (or increasing healing across the board). so warriors would get to run around bonking people in the head with a toy hammer while playing with whatever other dps does the most damage at the time. great fun for the warrior to essentially be there just for a debuff.
50% MS would be incredibly restrictive for comps if healing were to be increased to counteract it, instead of making the specs that have it do almost no damage. it’s so powerful that any comp that doesn’t have it would be doomed to be terrible unless it had some very fancy trick up its sleeve.
it is also just generally unfun to heal against both dampening and strong mortal strikes. it’s not fun to play when your buttons don’t do anything. i would rather heal against high damage than low damage with a big mortal strike any day of the week. kinda like how it is in 2s and 3s. in 2s, the other teams damage sucks because there’s only 1 dps, but my healing also sucks.
