So I’ve tanked mythic + most expansions and mained DH in shadowlands, I tried to stay away from tanking but i always end up going back lol,
What is fun to play atm ? I don’t want to plat prot warr because its just looks way to easy and there are millions of them about, also not fussed on bear either.
Is Monk any decent it looks fun but apparently struggles with defence.
Monk is OK, so is Pala/ DK.
Pick what appeals to you most for fun, the rotations aren’t hard and they are all unique.

i think DH is fun as tank this Xpac ngl.
bear, spam swipe and trash and enjoy free loot
i dont like warr animations and sound. so no way i will play him again.
pala is superior because you can do a lot and even heal a group. a lot bosses can be played without healer. he can be very strong carrier in groups. but he is not so good tank as warrior. so you will be replaced after noobs got their ++ with you in pugs.
Prot war is fun imo.
Prot warr the most fun.
It’s not as easy as ppl think it is, it also has quite a high APM so you can stay busy with it ^^.
I personally do love prot warrior, seems they’re the OP spec atm, but doesn’t mean they’re not fun.
Second to this, I like brewmaster and prot paladin.
imo dh tank and pala tank are the most fun atm
druid is boring, warri is a wall but to be the best tank doesnt mean its fun( besides the people which you can see above me) and monk has issues with defensive/you need to get external heal
dk tank is fun as long you can still death strike to heal you and dont get one shottet before
in compare to what? a druid? xD srsly warri tank is easy…
I play mostly tanks and have done so for many years.
This is my opinion about some tank classes, as they are in DF now.
Protection Warrior - most sturdy, great fun.
Guardian Druid - decent strong, quite boring to play.
Protection Paladin - decent strong, decent fun.
Vengeance DH - ridiculously strong but fairly boring to play.
I haven’t tanked on Monk or DK in DF as I’m not interested in these 2 specs.
It really depends what type of playstyle do you prefer but at the moment, I think prot warr is the best and most fun all-round tank.
Ofc Blizz already started with the “adjustments” to classes because… moaners.
Play what you like, the classes will go up and down in performance as they keep mucking around with changes throughout the expansion.
What is hard about a Druid?
What is hard about a DH?
What is hard about a DK?
What is hard about a Monk?
What is hard about a Pally?
In essence no class is “hard” in WoW, since they pruned them into oblivion.
I just find Prot warrior the most engaging and button bloated out off the tank classes.
The only certainty you have about tank classes is: DK is always viable.
Next season is a DoT/Magical damage priority, which is where prot warr struggles.
DK will reign in S2.
play monk and have fun
I don’t enjoy 2-3 button classes, else I’d choose DH.
I play Arcane mage, Prot warrior and Boomkin 
Then protadin or bears are your next best bet. But the latter tend to be weaker they say 
I like them myself, but prefer pallies whenever I can. The mitigation is fairly nice and you get to offheal with free Words of Glory.
