They messed up the Sylvanas story so badly. It wasn’t remotely believable where they ended up.

To be honest I was disappointed after the very first presentation. Like why horde suddenly started fighting back only after sylvanas screamed for the horde hard enough? It wasn’t a speech, it’s just a war cry, those are usually used pre battle or while charging, like when rohirrim horseriders charged screaming “death!” in lotr.

It was a magnificent battle cry. Gives me chills, even now. It was a brilliant cinematic.
It was also great fun to be a Loyalist all the way through BfA. Sadly we can’t really have any big impact from story choices as it’s always going to go in one set direction. So many times she asked me to let things slide where it was like NO THIS MAKES NO SENSE!
Apart from butchering her character I’ll also never forgive them for completely forgetting Nathanos for all of SL.

Wotlk has some of the best writing presented in game, arthas speech in starting dk location takes me in perfectly right mood to kill some innocent civilians.

For me its two simple lines that resonate into my philosophy IRL that are also connected to the occult and hermeticism:

According to gnosticism this world indeed is a prison, it has the characteristics of a prison for a long time too if you actually look around.
Gnostics believe that God is “shattered” and locked in a continious cycle of death and rebirth.
Whats more frightening, having to get rebirthed over and over again without a count or just finally … eternal rest?
And the rest is “Anu’dorini Talah” which is honestly a really cool way to activate sigils (if you’re into that) as it is as close to “I create as I speak” aka “abracadabra”
And ill also do the reverse ill tell you a quote that reminds me of a wow character 1/1:
“The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth”
Its an african proverb and i think it resonates perfectly with Gul’Dan, to know what I mean watch the Harbingers series.

It’s sad how Blizzard ruined sylvanas by making her a jailer-puppet and disrespecting the horde.
I think the most iconic lines are
“We will never be slaves!”
“No king rules forever my son”,
and the illidan ones might also be up there with “you are not prepared” or “My destiny is my own”
