Most powerful classes lore wise

Mages, i mean let’s be real Aegwynn solo’d the Avatar of Sargeras.

And then there is also Azshara, Medhiv, Khadgar, Jaina.

IF they all would be alive at the same time and decide to turn against Azeroth there is nothing that we could do.

We are just lucky most of the Mages that turned evil are incompetent.

I know the Avatar of Sargeras is far from his full strength, but that Avatar alone is 100x Stronger than any Demon WE have ever faced and that alone took entire Armys to deal with, lorewise.

Mages are the final boss of the internet, Idk how more ppl dont realise this. How could anything else be even close when magic is the strongest power in the universe. Hungry? Conjure cake. Somebody aggro? Turn into sheep. Strongest characters in the world become meaningless when they are stuck in nova or reduced to sheeps. It’s like trying fight against guns with just fists, going against magic with mere physical strenght. Magic is the ultimate power.

most casters can be quite insane cannonically, on the other side more magicless classes seem to depend on magic swag or blessings.

I would say (not ranking them, just a rough idea):

-Demon Hunter-

Despite the name they are quite useful in killing many things, reading the illidan novel here’s a short list of their perks:

-healing factor, strong enough to heal from a skull gash in the matter of hours on it’s own

-heightened resilient, being shown to take hits from demons many times their size that would going by the books would have killed any normal mortal

-Spellcasting, yes they do use magic not only to augment themselves yet book specifically states that magic comes to some of them as easily as it does to demons themselves.

-Enchanted senses, not just referring to specteral sight, their hearing and touch is on steroids, vandal himself being able to sense the danger ‘in the air’ and dodge stuff coming from his back etc.

-Not to mention the fact that they are strong as ogres, able to shatter boulders with daggers WITHOUT specifically empowering themselves, while also being agile and fast as nightsabers.

-Death Knights-

QUITE sturdy, is able to utilise magic to a degree though less so than say a mage, it can still be QUITE dangerous, specially for the living, on top of that add saronite armor, rune swords, and a death charger and you have the wow version of the grim reaper.

-Dracthyrs-

Specifically -evokers-, being able to wield magics of all flights, though not AS potent as dragons, being able to combine different dragon magics is insane, in the war of the scaleborn, several evokers were able to bring ol’ razsageth down, while it took alexstrasza being blessed by other 4 aspects and given future sight to bring down vyranoth.

-Casters-

Kind of a slippery slope, caster strength is REALLY tied to individual differences, above 3 classes tends to be treated as: best of the best, in their own orders (illidari, dracthyr, ebon hold), so that wasn’t an issue for those, but for casters? Practically depending on their personal strength sky is the limit, specially for arcane. While void and fel seem to be more destructive.

As for shammies and dudus, their power is given by the world (spirit of the wilds/elements), so depending on how favoure dyou are, you can do some insane stuff! Like malfi holding the entire darkshore together for instance.

Strongest: Mage, Druid, Warlock, Evoker.
-Every 4 based on accumulated knowledge and do not rely on any special “borrowed power”

Wannabe strongest, but not: Paladin, Priest, Death Knight, Demon Hunter.
-Paladin/Priest are renowned for their constant reliance on the power of Light, which in turn behaves like a sassy diva and always helps only at the very last moment.
-Death Knight is simply relying on their swords, which serves as a kind of runic battery.
-Demon Hunters… “Uh… do you even know that i’ve sacrificed everything and in constant fight with my inner demon?! Pft… softie…”

Mid tier hero: Monk.
-Monk.

“Simple swineherds who took iron pipes in their hands and called it their weapon” tier: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue.
-No elaboration needed here.

It’s probably going to be a magic user, at least. Hunters, Warriors and Rogues probably lower on the totem pole lore wise but power scaling is a mess in almost every property.

Personally I’d put warlock on the low end as well, fel and demons aren’t as grand as they used to be.

Yea, that’s a very good example, because if You remove the plot armour, you’ll end up with scenes like the fight at the end of War Crimes novel, where Jaina gets shot with a simple bullet and

When Go’el saw Varian enter with Jaina, who was limp and pale, he and Aggra ran over to her and attempted to heal her wound. Anduin, Tyrande, and Velen also arrived and did their best to try and heal Jaina. The wound, however, was too serious and they were too exhausted from fighting.

She had to be saved by Chi-Ji. All that, from a simple bullet.

Very unrelated, but your character name confused the hell out of me at first because I’m from a city called Razgrad. Nice.

Wasn’t aware of such a city existing, but gave me a laugh when I googled it. Thanks for the info!

None is most powerful. It’s just different fighting styles. Who is most powerful depends on the character, not on the class.

If you took averages, then of course, DH, DK, and Evokers would be strongest on average, because there is massive barrier to entry to become that class lore-wise. But that doesn’t stop a Rogue for example from becoming more powerful than them.

You should first start by specifying, if You are asking only about power in a fight against others, or power in general.

In a fight class is irrelevant. It’s a work of fiction and characters are only as powerful as the writers want them to be. If the plot requires Jaina or Khadgar to have a very narrow victory over a simple Centaur, Nerubian, or Quillboar, You can be sure that that’s exactly how it’s gonna be portrayed. If the plot requires Garrosh to cut through enemy ranks like they’re paper, he’ll do that without breaking a sweat.

Outside of combat though, we can see magic users perform monumental tasks, like Gul’dan raising the volcano in the Shadowmoon Valley or raising Tomb of Sargeras from the bottom of the sea, Aegwyn creating Karazhan out of thin air, Jaina raising a ship from the ground and flying on it etc. I don’t remember any warrior, rogue or hunter doing anything like it.

Most potential ignoring drawbacks? Shadow Priest.
Most likely? Warlock, they are on average more powerful than Mages due to taking shortcuts and chaotic energies. Mages have a bit higher potential than Warlocks though.

With most classes, it’s about individuals. A warrior can be extremely strong, for example Grommash, but such are rare. An average warrior and a Grommash are two completely different things. 20 averages are no match for Grommash. The same can be seen with all other classes, except for three classes.

Demon hunters do not have averages in their ranks, simply by their nature, origin, entire process and training they cannot be average, but only very powerful and abnormally powerful. Anyone who has read the book and knows the story knows what I’m talking about. I don’t think any class, no matter how strong that individual is, can match a demon hunter in 1v1 combat. Of course, a demon hunter can lose a fight at some point for some reason, but the chances are slim. The same is somewhat true for death knights and evokers, but demon hunters are literally insane. All three classes use very powerful magics, and are created to be killing machines and nothing else.

I don’t think that is true, because there is more gatekeeping before someone can be a mage. They have to be literate for example. Meanwhile Warlocks sometimes are just random cultists. In regards to potential, I would say neither of them has more potential, but if they use its most powerful form, it’d be different. If a mage becomes incredibly powerful, they can bend space, and travel in time for example, but they are restricted by their Mana. If a Warlock becomes extremely powerful, they don’t really have magic restrictions, but they aren’t usually as specialsied in using arcane, so they mostly just end up summong or invoking some huge force, that they may be able to control (until they’re not).

I would say, it’s just different forms of power in the story. It’s not that one is better than the other… They just have their own strengths/weaknesses. The power is in the end only decided by the character using it.

Only by dev over buffing, not by lore though.

Once I started playing blitz as a duo I found out it was not the power of the class that are most powerful, but the friends we made along the way. The power of friendship is the strongest power in universe :rainbow: :stars:
