Most PvP servers will soon disappear

With current changes new players are discouraged from making Alliance characters on PvP servers, they will either go Horde or PvE.

The issue is that current Alliance players will also transfer to PvE server or maybe Alliance dominated server like Earthshaker since they know they are doomed longterm.

This will kill world pvp on most servers will die out and we will see migrations to a few megaservers, I wouldn’t be surprised if Horde decides to do massive transfers to Earthshaker since it will probably be the only pvp server with enough Alliance for long term future.

Megaservers will be the future and most realms will die out.

I hope this situation will be addressed because I don’t want to see another Flamelash where I had my original Horde character, making an Alliance PvE character was a compromise since I saw how things end up on private TBC servers.

what u on about ? we hrode will thrive and we will pvp eachother if thats the case, dont you worry kid

How will you kill other horde in the open world?

then we wont, its borign to kill alliance in open world anyway they just die

Best time to start my Druid + Rogue Gank Team on Alliance…

  1. Cry on forums about dead wPvP
  2. Blizzard makes Horde vs Horde FFA.
  3. Profit.
  4. … Or not.

With this logic, I guess half of horde are noobs

But many people already rerolled, if you check raiding logs on Ironforge for PvP servers you will see that there were 33k Alliance and 38k Horde logged during the last week of Classic, where as now there are 35k Alliance and 55k Horde which is an enormous change for a 1 month period, and with 58 boosts people are more than willing to reroll since we are still in T4

Almost everyone who boosted a new character after months/years of not playing and had interest in pvp went Horde, and since Horde is better for PvE the snowball will be unstoppable since raiders won’t fear getting ganked in open world.

I’m chocked that Blizzard chose to put the final nail in the coffin for the alliance pvp community tbh, instead of trying to prevent it from dying. Everyone with half a brain have seen this play out longterm ever since P2 that had massmigration and a truckload of alliance who just quit playing because the game was literary unplayable. Facing entire raids that camped you no matter where you went. And now this horde vs horde retail-themed-bs was a death warrant for those who have still been hanging in there tbh.

Me and every pvp:er I knew on Shazzrah are still lvl 60. No one have bothered to log on because we knew after P2 that going through the dark portal on our server was a complete no-go. Blizzard didn’t care back when this started, long before TBC-launch. Perhaps we should’ve cried on the forums, that seems to work no matter how stupid the ideas are.

Of all of us Shazzrah pvp:ers I’m the only one who decided to start over and lvled a druid on horde just to see the pve-content once again. And now that kara is cleared I’m just plain done. I don’t wanna fight for the horde. And I sure as hell is not going to invest even more time on Shazzrah.

Starting all over a third time on a PVE-server could be an option but when Blizzard are abusing the game’s core philosophy like this I probably won’t invest anymore time ever again in classic. They obviously have no issues at all turning the game upside down and I don’t want to risk having another Shazzrah experience (4 pvp-geared 60’s that are dead). Nope. If I ever get the hunger for wow again it’s back to p-servers.

I think the only people left out are alliance playing on horde dominated PvP server (89% of them).

The devs won’t do anything for them and the faction will slowly die :
. if u want to pvp => roll horde (good queues times, better playebase),
. if u want to pve => go to a real pve server (without wordl pvp).

Me sad.

I guess in future wPvP will die as it did on retail when Warmode was released. Like 3-4 ppl ganking in group for whole location and rest of players wandering around with warmode turned off.

lol bm hunters and warlocks tear mages apart

this isn’t such a bad thing tbh. outland-eu was the pvp hub of alliance whole wotlk (and probs cata as well), and if you wanted to pvp you went there. if anything, having a superb PvP realm which focuses heavily on PvP is a good thing for all pvpers. more premades, more arena mates to find, elwynn full of duelers to battle against. as for pve people, they can indeed go to pve realms and focus on pve things there.

i’m 100% supporting Earthshaker to be the new Outland and would probably do one ally toon there as well myself in order to sweat on PvP if this ever happened

Imo, PvE servers are also in danger, Alliance mostly.
There are many people who pvp and pve on pve servers, they will reroll horde for pvp part and pve will suffer also for lower recruit pool. Alliance population will shrink on pve servers as well.
With FOMO disease everywhere + minmax culture, this might be very much expected scenario.
