Hello, Mote of Fire dropped more frequently from Fel Iron Mine Nodes, but now they drop less often + prices increased on AH.
On average p/h I had 2 stacks of Fire Motes but now half a stack p/h
I don’t know if this is a bug or intended

It’s completely rng if you get zero out of 4 ticks or simply 5.
Random loot is random.
RNG was RNG when I got 20 motes avg p/h since tbc launch.
Now its 5 motes p/h and the prices on AH went up 50%, due to rarity.
It’s obvious from raw data that something was nerfed, or perhaps a bug?
Was hoping a blue can confirm this, but perhaps in my dreams.
Lmao, I love this.
RNG is only RNG when it’s in my favor.
If not, it’s a bug.
Brilliant.
Most of the people that responded to your thread don’t understand how probability works, just ignore them.
Time based test is bad for nodes because it’s impossible to tell how many veins you encounter and it may be very inconsistent.
Try to measure your drop rate per X nodes (e.g. 50 if you have data from the past)
I actually made the calculations and noticed it is indeed an decreased amount, comparing to 1 week ago. It’s not even me who noticed it, the server noticed it too, due to 50% increase price.
I also included the other factors like if I am getting less nodes, because someone else is farming, but nope. On average I get 5 x 20 stacks of fel iron ore, and I had 20 fire motes per hour now its same with fel iron ore, but less with fire motes.
I am doing same route for over a month now
My god the stupid responses of people here who don’t understand statistics. Should require a basic IQ test before allowed to reply on forums really.
I don’t think the OP knows that a 5% drop rate does not mean it will drop 5 out of 100 times.
Prices of EVERYTHING go up in the weekend, this is normal and consistent throughout the last 15 years, so that does not back up your point of decreased drop rate.
TBH, I would say it is just RNG.
Correcting myself: prices of raw materials go up, and prices of crafted materials go down, during the weekend. This is extremely normal.
I am sorry, but where did you get an idea that I think like that?
If you farm 30 days same route for few hours each day and on average I got 20 fire motes per hour, thats RNG. I mentioned on AVERAGE. Sometimes I had 16 sometimes 20 p/h. Only blizzard has the real timers and know CDs and RNG, but BASED on my experience during the 30 days, I noticed on Average I got 20 motes of fire.
Now it’s 5 per hour, it has reduced significantly.
What you don’t understand, about the fact that motes drop less frquenttly than the last 30 days, I got the statistics, because I grinded for 30 days for 3/4 hours each day.
That’s RNG For you, you have just been unlucky. You could get lucky and get 30 next time.
Sometimes I get 9 motes of fire during my farm and sometimes I get zero motes of fire during my farm… whats the point? I do that since 3 weeks too and now? rng is rng… nothing more to talk about. Also how do prices go up during a weekend? If not… they all go down because weekend heroes farm farm farm and dump the AH prices atleast on my server.
