So we are getting another probably 30+ mounts in the next patch but there is no any news about achievements after 400+ ? Blizzard please do something about it…

I’m pretty sure it’s the number 4129 thread about adding new mounts achievment, and Blizz still ignores it. I will do my duty and bump this thread as well. Maybe some Community Manager or something will read it, and talk with the devs about it, and manage to convince them. Very slim chances, but I still have hope.
Only another 371 more and we’ll all get the 4500 Mount Achievement Threads achievement.
Can’t wait. What’s the reward for that? A title maybe “Dead Horse Flogger” maybe…

I mean, I don’t want to be rude… but 400 is ALOT of mounts… do you even have time to ride them all?
Look at what happened with Pets. There are just too many. When Pet Battle first came out, I was probably the first person to run around and collect them all. But after a break of a couple of expansions I was overwhelmed with how many there were in the game. If one drops, cool, if its a duplicate it gets sent to my Pet Banker (yes I have a dedicated banking alt for duplicate pets), and if I’m lucky they might well on AH one day.

A lot of them are quite worthless, I too have a tab full of pets, sometimes they increase in value though. It does depend.
When a friend was short on gold for his sub (plays for free by using tokens) he sold all his pets that were worth bothering with and raised enough gold.

There is a bit of a pet and mount inflation in the game as they’re popular rewards, so Blizzard constantly introduces a ton of them.
In that regard the achievement aspect of it gets a bit diluted when the volume of mounts increases with 20-30 every patch.
What used to be a high number is after a couple of patches not very high at all. So what’s the accomplishment exactly?
Even the mount reward for the achievement sort of just drowns in the sheer volume of mounts.
I just got to 350 mounts yesterday and was super stoked with my frosty infernal. I don’t see myself getting the 400 mount achievement very soon tho. On average I get one of these achievements per expansion.
Do keep in mind there’s a very small % of wow players that have the 400 mounts achievement.
It is not always about 400 mounts themselves, I am not a mount collector myself, when 400 mount achievement came out, I did not even have 250 mount achievement, but I liked the reward and it took a year or so to get the achievement, now it must be much easier. I just grinded mounts for 1 single mountain dew chicken.
I would appreciate new collecting achievements for mounts and pets, maybe toys too with good rewards, though pets I would colect regardless.
Some Achievements like this do have a maximum reward level that can be surpassed & noted/acknowledged without any further reward; I don’t think there is any noteworthy recognition for discovering every appearance for any given item slot, and official recognition stops and very moderate levels… why not the same with Mounts & Pets/Companions?

Maximise a collection because you want to… not JUST because there is an incentive over & above “personal satisfaction”…
