You can get a puppy version of the mount if you unlock Dark Iron Dwarves as well. Its not as big as the one you want though.

I absolutely disagree with putting old items back in the game, there should be more items made “unique” and be removed as obtainable items.

Yes I know it can be annoying to not have a specific mount or specific transmog, but things bein unique is how characters differate from others.

Please remove all vanilla raid pets from the game, not that it matters since there are millions of them around but still.

Also remove some armor sets and weapon transmogs.

We need unique items in the game to keep it interesting.

Thanks for the concern, my lady, but I don’t need to show anything to anyone, especially not something so dumb and futile. I think I (as many other people) have enough esteem for myself not to feel the need to swell it up with a bunch of pixels.
In layman terms : I don’t give a damn about having back something I got during a limited event and nor should anyone in my opinion.

If that is your reason for not bringing back what people so ridiculously call exclusive content, then I might say Blizzard has well succeeded in their trick, a most classical one however.

OP, the limited content is there to keep you subbed all the time and be on track of what is happening in the game even when you’re not interested in it. Check some replies here and see by yourself how well it is working. It should be enough of a reason for you not to fall in such a vicious trap.

I had to delete mine on my horde char after I did the horde side of the scenario, since I’d already gotten the mount on my ally.
If it were possible, I’d have given it to you or anyone else who wanted it. But no, Blizzard cough wants me to cough feel special cough cough.

This is up for sale on the BMAH on The Sha’tar/Moonglade/Steamwheedle Cartel realms right now.

So, if you really want it, I suggest you roll a character there and get yourself some tokens.

A lot of people got bored of the corehound quickly and I imagine it’s two reasons;

  1. It’s too big/obnoxious to serve as an everyday mount.
  2. So many people had it that it instantly lost any sense of rarity and just became another number to the mount achievement.

As a collector, i dont really get the idea of them “time limit” stuff, i dont mind ppl getting the same stuff as i have.

Its like, imagen they removed old tier gear from raids once a new expansion came out, what is there then for ppl to farm once they collected everything and start hunting for transmorg?

So many cool and uniqe mount have been lost in time cuz of this “snowflake / we want ppl to play all the time so they dont miss out” mentality.

End of expansion mounts (moose, arcane bird), event mounts (core hound, horde bike, darkshore bat / hippogriff, heroes of the storm promo.) or simple mount from raid or achi (horse / wolf from trial of crusader, black / plague protodrake. MoP CM birds). ect.

Hell, even some cool transmorg have been lost in time (MoP Challange Mode gear, WoD Challange Mode weap, trial of crusader weap, oldschool hunter bow / priest staff from Molten Core), legendary cloak from MoP quest, mage tower artifact skin (druid skin come in mind).

When that is said, your best bet to get this corehound is either (like ppl have typed already):
1: Black Marked Action House: Startbid are 20k for mounts, but, i bet (if other miss it) the price can easy go up to 1-2M+.
2: Blacksmite have a green version of this.
3: Allied race (iron dwarf) can unlock a 1 headed core hound, its small, but still cool ^^.

Sure some of the item i typed before about been “lost to the time” can be gotten via BMAH, still, if the item is still ingame, howcome they cant just be at thier usally self drop?, i dont see how paying 5M+ gold beats doing naxx achi for the black proto drake.

Hell, it even make me feel bad sometime, when i ride some of those “lost in time” mounts when helping new player, they be like “wow, thats so cool, wish i had it” and i have to tell em “sorry, blizz removed them”.

Edit: Checking thier online store, your even able to buy the WoD and Legion collector edition stuff for 15 eur, why dont they make the same deal for all prev expansion stuff then, i dont mind getting that for vanila, TBC, wotlk, cata, to get them pets :>

Let’s be honest here. The achievement shows the time you got it. So that argument isn’t that strong. It’s a special snowflake reason.
I can’t see a logical reason why you shouldn’t bring it back.
Emotional I can see a reason. Everyone wants to have that special item that other people don’t. It makes you feel “better” than them.

Because it was tied to an event.
If you were subbed & took part in the event, you were rewarded with a mount.
If you were not, you did not.

There are many things I missed out on because I was not subbed at the time, but I accept that I missed them & move on.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind it being an exclusive. I just don’t see the issue of blizzard bringing it back for a while.
I just see a lot of people complaining about it in a special snowflake manner (in general with exclusive items)

Bringing stuff back, even for a little while, means they’re not really exclusive anymore. I would even go as far as to say that the core hound chain isn’t exclusive, since it’s available on the BMAH.

I know someone has a Ferrari, I want one, give me one because I dont have one.

See thats same with mounts/pets/transmogs, not everyone has all that someone else has, and everyone shouldnt have everything.

I have the corehound, I dont use it, I miss from my collection mounts I cant get anymore, yes it sucks, but I STILL think we should remove more pets/mounts/transmogs from the game.

I want to have much options on how I look in game, and how I ride in game, but there needs to be RARE THINGS and unobtainable things if you missed them.

At this point (even thou its too late now) they should remove tier1, tier2 sets from raids and all mc/bwl pets too.

Oh and to edit and add, its so stupid to call ppl who want unique things in the game snowflakes, go check out what it means pls.

It is exclusive. Only people who were at the event or are really rich (in-game) can obtain it.
Again, I personally don’t mind items being exclusive, but at the same time I don’t see the problem in them being made available again for a while through other means than the BMAH.
They won’t be exclusive during that time, but afterwards they become exclusive again.

It’s a game, why is it so important that other people can’t have a certain virtual item that has no worth at all?

You Ferrari example doesn’t work here, A Ferrari is a physical item in the real world, it’s worth something (even when breaking it down into it’s original elements). The core hound mount isn’t worth anything.

Why is there a need to have exclusive or unobtainable things? (from a fellow players perspective)
Rare I can sort of understand, it’s nice to have something cool drop.

I hope you understand that the whole Rare/unobtainable aspect in a game is to get you hooked, make you play more of the game right? Because most rare items are just tedious rng drops.
The rare items that involve time and effort are great and not a problem.

Mostly because it’s just arbitrary, and defeats the purpose of having things be exclusive in the first place. There are some unobtainable (actually unobtainable, unlike the core hound) mounts that I would love to have, but I’m never going to get them, and that’s fine.

It doesn’t matter how easy or hard it was to get when it was still available, having something only be available for a limited time give people who want it a goal to work towards, and if every goal is easily attainable, it’s not as satisfying when you finally get there.

Loads of unobtainable mounts i want, but I wouldnt want the novelty to wear off for others just for my sake.
