Mounts not being account wide

Can we get it before cata **s . You already pushed what 3 store mounts , and we that acc earned our ingame mounts can’t use them across all tons but those that cashout they can . So like if we are worth less than them just say it , and we good , or otherwise implement account wide mounts , ty .

Yes
You are worth less to blizzard, than those who spend money to them.
I feel like this is business 101, a paying customer is worth more than a non-paying one.

What they can do though, is make mounts account-wide via purchase of a pass or something.
They get money, and you get your mounts.

Either way, i doubt you’ll get the account-wide mounts anytime soon.

How are we that are paying for subs a not paying customers ? And no , no extra paying for smt that is allready implemented really well in retail , why would you pay extra for allready expensive game ? How is that even ok in your head ? Just implement what we allready have in retail .

Or another idea, you go to Retail since that feature seems to be what you want.

Did we really need another thread on this when the last one is 2 posts down?

Let me rephrase, those who pay more are more worth.

Just because its in retail, doesnt necessarily mean its a good feature.

I wouldnt, im not paying anything besides the sub. But some people are, and thats the targeted audience i guess. I mean just look at diablo immoral.

Thats how the blizzard plan seems to be. They want to milk as much money out of you as they can.

So the OP is playing on a trial account and complaining about it? I am trying to get their point but it’s as clear as obsidian.

Edit: wait I get it now, no account wide mounts. Just like in the original Wrath.

Correct me if I’m wrong but there are no store mounts for Wrath, only ones for subscribing which would mean you can collect them on all characters as you are subscribed. And don’t mounts have their own tab in the character pane?

What are you talking about ? Are you even playing the game ?

I wonder why it is so difficult for some people to scroll through the “Latest” tab on Blizzard forums.

Correct me if I’m wrong but one topic that have high number of replies and views are more likely to get attention than multiple topics about the same thing.
We are on EU forums though. If you wan’t to get more attention, you have to write on the US side.

I’ll correct that for you.

Nice counter point, wait, did you make one?

As much as I don’t agree with what you are arguing for, I think this part is exactly how Blizzard thinks.

TBC and Wrath digital collector’s editions have mounts, so technically they are store mounts.

Mounts being account wide was introduced later, in MOP. This was when account wide achievements were introduced. Even titles are account wide in never versions. WOTLK progression design was character related, not account related, as it was after MOP.

These design differences have upsides and downsides. An upside for account progression would be, you can enjoy all your previous achievements combined, even on your new alt, and flex with rare titles or glad mounts.
On the other hand, character progression enables players to experience progression for each new character and making mounts more rare and desirable.

However, the main question is not which design individuals personally prefer, but if classic character progression design should be changed into retail account progression design. I believe most players are playing classic to have an experience close to the original, because this is what was advertised.

But you get them on every character as it is now. You just visit an innkeeper.

Account-wide mounts are actually an artificial step from the original game, especially in Classic.

In Classic, your character was your achievement. So if you wanted a mount, you’d work hard to get it on your main. This meant you had to make important choices, for example, who your main was, and rather than just reroll whatever is Meta like in retail, you’d need to stick with your class and get good at it, rather than jumping ship.

This also means that if you disliked your main, for whatever reason, it would be harder to reroll.

Maybe you dont get invites to X thing, because you play Y specc.

I am for account-wide achievements and mounts tbh.
I love the title battlemaster, for example, but no way i wanna farm that on 2-3 chars for example.

This already happened with hc+ and modified loot in naxx 10 man.

Ofc, its a slippery slope. But this is no longer the same wotlk we played so many years ago. Adding QoL changes is a good thing tbh.

About that work hard for your main and reroll to meta , you are wrong, you rolled a paladin in classic and you wanted to raid to went holy or reroll . You went druid and you wanted to play anything beside resto or bear on some bosses you reroll . You played a priest and you wanted to raid you played a heal or reroll . And no , if you earn a mount on 1 toon , why do you need to waste time to get it again ? And playing alts is not to reroll , a lot of wow population loves to raid/play on more than 1 toon . And people playing more than 1 toon and reroll to a better class was a thing since OG TBC . Just bcs you are not playing it like that and you only play 1 character and whatever you are doing it is fine . But if you wanna put this as playing more than 1 toon and wanting to play the best class atm as smt bad , it is not and it is a beauty of wow , ess anything pre legion that you just lvl to max lvl and you play the game and the class , you don’t jump through 15 hoops to be able to play the game . And no , if some pe of s* mounts in front of me on his lvl 24 orc on that stupid phasehunter or when you go to thrallmar and they mount on that s****y glider , just bcs they payed extra , and the restr of the plebs are on basic kodo or ugly wyren, one of the ugliest mounts in the game , and you can’t use any of the mounts that you earned on your new toons , or how amazing would it be to see all the mounts in the world while you level up , to express what you liek more in the mount . How is that bad and not ok , but buying a mount for cash is ok ?

I rolled a warlock because I never played a warlock before. I expected to stop playing when I hit 60 but a nice guild found me and we had cool adventures since.
I literally played Nightfall/Conflagrate in Classic phase 5.

Never forget the /spit weakaura. RIP.
