This is a very minor thing, but for some reason my cursor in wow has turned very bright. I dont know what to do about it. It just bugs me that it is so bright.
I googled some and found this has happened to people before, but even help page that was pointed in those old posts no longer has any information on it.
I dont know what to do.
It is already so in login screen so I dont even have to be in game. I think appeared after some windows update so it might not be wow problem. I havent been able to find any settings anywhere to adjust it, though.
edit: It also seems that even, if I turn down game brightness, gamma, ect. the mouse cursor stays unchanged. Even if rest of it is set to basically black, the cursor is still bright, almost white.
edit2: Turning down my desktop gamma setting turns down the in game cursor. So… rest of the game is following in game settings EXCEPT the mouse cursor which is following desktop settings? Maybe its following both and getting double amount of gamma setting so its really bright. I can temporarily turn my desktop setting nearly completely black by using very low gamma setting and then turn up heavily gamma setting in game. This way mouse and in game setting are roughly same. But this is ridiculous. I have to do the adjustment EVERY time I start playing game and then when I stop I will have to readjust to original settings. Not only that, if I wish to tab out, everything is really dark.
How do I adjust mouse setting just in game? There are only sensitivity. Hardware mouse setting is gone as far as I know.
Did you manage to find a fix, i literally have the same issue but in reverse my cursor is literally so dark its obnoxious but any form of video feed displays it as normal does yours do this also?
Nope. Did not find a way.
I did find several people who said they had the same problem, but none of their solutions worked. Such as scan and repair. I also tried deleting cache and wtf folder (if you do try this, backup them first).
Several people also said the problem eventually disapeared on its own and had no idea why.
At this point, I decided I dont care. Its pretty minor problem and my eye is getting used to the bright cursor…
What graphics card are you using may i ask? sorry to bother you further.
Ah ok, so its not strictly AMD cards suffering from this issue.
Had the same problem, I repaired the game via Battlenet and downloaded the newest GeForce driver which fixed the problem for me.
had this same issue today, mouse cursor ingame going incredible bright.
It happend after a windows 10 update
updating nvidia drivers fixed it for me

Had the same problem, it fixed itself when I updated my Nvidia graphic Drivers. So try to Update/Reinstall

Updating Nvidia drivers worked for me too. Happened after updating to version 1903 of Windows 10. Was as if Windows switched to generic graphics drivers.

Had the same problem and when I wanted to solve it, I tried to screenshot it with Windows+Shift+S combination and show it to my friend and after i exited the screenshot menu the cursor fixed itself.
