How many programmable buttons does your mouse have?
Buying a mouse with eleven buttons will I be able to memorize skills in each one or wow does it put limits?
None.
Playing with a Mad Catz R.A.T : https://www.madcatz.com/en/Product/Detail/rat-pro-x3-supreme
Simply have no need for programmable buttons
Logitech G502 is more than sufficient for WoW.
The best advice I’ve seen for moving over to a mouse like that is to move over a few abilities at a time. Don’t overwhelm yourself with everything in one go. Just keep adding to it, they soon become muscle memory.
I don’t personally have a mega button mouse but friends do. I do have some on my mouse but probably only half a dozen.
I’d say button positioning is more important then button count on the mouse
I have a whole numpad on the thumb side of my mouse, small buttons but it means I can access 1 to = even if my hands are not on my keyboard, outside of that numpad its just RMB, LMB and scrollwheel. 15 whole buttons but asides from the thumpad side the mouse looks like any regular mouse
I see a lot of other mouses with like 11 buttons spread all over the body of the mouse, left side, buttom side, 4 finger buttons for reason and they imo suck to use compared to a proper numpad on thumbside mmo mouse like the logitech G600 or Naga MMO mouse
These multi button mouses often look very impressive and have sleek designs but that’s often all you’re paying for, the designs
functionally the MMO numpad on thumbside mouse wins every time for me
I have razer naga .it gives me 12 buttons on thumb side .by using shift, alt .i get access to whopping 32 buttons for my spells and rotation
Mine has the buttons spread all over the mouse, and it’s perfect for my needs - the ‘work’ is spread across my whole hand. I’ve already got RSI in my left thumb from hitting the spacebar too frequently. I can see a similar problem developing in my right if I have to use it constantly to press mouse buttons.
Thank you guys for yours reply !!!
I bought the mouse with keyboard on the left
understandable, I’ve been using mine (G600 logitech) for 12 years without issue but if you’ve already got RSI it probably won’t make things better no.
12 baseline (1-12) and then I also combine them with Alt+ to have up 24 binds combinations, more its overkill and bad design.
