Yeah adding my name to this. So a reply above is correct. It looks like wow is seeing a two finger touch (not click) as “Mouse Wheel Up” instantly and when the fingers are removed. The downfall is that when you scroll to the bottom of the text page / screen / window and remove your fingers the interface does “Mouse Wheel Up” and it seems like the scroll is bouncing. Im sure theres a simple bug in there somewhere that is detecting two finger touch as mouse wheel up.
This is making the game almost unplayable. PLEASE FIX…
(Classic SoD Phase 5 Patch this started happening)
Its not a sensitivity issue, its a input recognition issue.
When you place two fingers on the touchpad it is seeing that as “mouse wheel up” either instantly or if you are scrolling, when you release your fingers… So you scroll to the bottom of the page and when you release your fingers the system does “mouse wheel up”.
You can test this by going to keybinds, clicking on an unassigned key and just placing 2 fingers on the trackpad, this will instantly see the two finger touch as “mouse wheel up”
Some code somewhere is recognising two fingers as “mouse wheel up” before a movemebt with fingers is made.
So many in the USA having this issues. I know its been brought to the devs attention but an update from them would be nice… Been horrible to play the game for two weeks now.
For the mouse I solved it by installing Mos and disabling smooth scrolling in the Mos app’s preferences. For touchpad it doesn’t seem to have the same effect; also not disabling the inertia setting in the macos settings.
I’m experiencing this too since the last patch. It makes the touchpad completely unusable and the game extraordinarily frustrating to use. I hope you’re able to prioritize fixing this soon even though it’s a mac laptop issue.
