For this achievement you need to collect 100 mounts; Moutain o’ Mounts. When you do so, you will recieve a Red or Blue Dragonhawk Mount (depending your faction). It’s pretty hard to get, it costs a lot of time and even more gold. But if you get it, you will be rewarded…! Rewarded with another mount.
But the strange thing is, this mount has a speed of 280%… And by completing the achievement you will certainly have one or more of mounts that has 310% speed (like the Proto Drakes). So you will never use this ‘new’ Dragonhawk mount, since its slower then one (or more) mounts you allready have.
Is this intential? Or can the Dragonhawk Mount also get a little speed buff to 310% !? So it can and will be used more often?

They should simply convert all mounts to 310% after a character recives it’s first 310% mount.

This, it’s one of the better changes Cata did. I just want to fly my rug without feeling bad about it

I wouldn’t be that certain. Getting all vanilla + TBC mounts (excluding ZG, Stratholme, Karazhan, Tempest Keep and world events) landed me at 76 during prepatch. After that you get:
- 4 mounts from the vendor in Dalaran
- 2 mounts from Sons of Hodir
- 1 mount from killing all enemy faction leaders
- 1 mount from the Wintergrasp vendor
- 1 mount for Culling of Stratholme Heroic (everyone already has it so you are guaranteed to win)
- 1 mount from Ravasaur Trainers (if you are Alliance you’d be at 77 in prepatch due to Wintersaber stuff)
- 1 ground mount from Engineering that anyone can use
- 1 mount from Wyrmrest Accord rep
- 12 mounts from Argent Tournament dailies
That’s 24 mounts which, adding to the original 76, bring you to exactly 100. No need to raid, only one other achievement required (could be replaced with any other mount-rewarding achiev, there’s quite a bit of them that don’t require raiding), no need to farm ultra-rare dungeon drops, no need for specific professions (engineers get 2 more, tailors get 2 more now and a third later).
It is entirely possible to get this achievement without having any 310% mounts.

Getting those 12 mounts from argent tournament would take longer then farming gold to get boosted in naxx and get a 310% 
But yeah i agree. It is possible without entering a raid, just alot more grindy.

It just unfair for a such a grindy achievement that can contain 310 mounts
This is actually weird, because the tooltip says “very fast mount”, not “extremely fast mount” like most other 310%ers. Same with Mimiron’s Head, it surprised me that it is 310% as well.
Next expansion every Mount will be 310 if you cough up the gold

Sadly thats only what you use it for! Sadly it is uggly as hell (in my opinion) so i would only use it because its rare, not that its good looking.
Yeah, the Sunreaver Dragonhawk from the tournament is so much better looking it’s not even funny.
