I haven’t played classic since BWL, but now that TBC is getting closer I’m gonna start playing again. However I wish a couple characters on my main account was moved to my second account.
It’s for few reasons, but thats not the point of the post.
If you are curious its anything from playing both Retail and Classic at the same time, boosting, portals… you name it. I already use both accounts for retail anyhow.
I’m curious why it’s restricted to move characters from one account to another?
Both my accounts are connected to the same bnet account & if there no way to remove a wow account from your bnet account (I assume) - why is it a issue?
Why does Retail allow it but not classic?
What magic thing am I not aware of that makes classic unique in this case?
I overall wish you were able to play Classic & Retail on the same account (at the same time), but I understand that it could be a technical limitation because of the bnet structure
Can’t you basically do 1 boost per Bnet account?
If you need a bnet account to create a WoW account -> once your WoW Account is created on that bnet account you can’t merge/move it to a new bnet account?
I don’t know. I think its silly to introduce something as a boost if you can’t manage it without having to restrict other stuff that should be availabile ?
Anyway as you said “upcoming boost will be bigger problem”.
What was stopping it (character transfer to new wow account (bnet linked)) from being availabile in the first place? sad face
It’s one boost per account, so if you have 5 accounts you can boost 5 chars. This might change, but as of now it is what they have said.
Don’t know why you wouldn’t be able to transfer between your own accounts, not sure if the feature was added in tbc or earlier but I did it in OG tbc, so that’s the earliest memory I have.
In mid 2006, Blizzard Entertainment began the Paid Character Transfer Service, which is sometimes referred to as PCT. The Paid Character Transfer feature allows you to move characters to other realms as well as between two accounts where you are the original registered owner, subject to certain restrictions. The cost of each paid character transfer is $25 / 20€ / £17 / ₩24,000
I actually haven’t boosted that much, but I want to do it more
I have a 60 mage on main acc and 54 on second account, but I have always wanted my “use” characters on main account. I have this weird mindset where the second account doesn’t feel like my real account… but it’s just in my head, trying to get rid of that thought. Aka , why i want to move a character from main to second.
I’m also a player that don’t want to bother friends or people. I have ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) so at times I prefer to play without the social aspect as well. Example If there is an elite quest I’m not able to solo & there is no players around. Then I could use my other character to help myself.
