Move World Of Warcraft to new account?

I am not using this account anymore so is it possible to move World Of Warcraft to my new account?

It’s possible if both accounts have the same name registered. You lose all mounts and other stuff like that as they’re bnet soulbound(even ingame ones, not just store ones). You will have to farm them again. Imo it’s not worth if you have lots of stuff like unobtainable mounts.

You have to pay a transfer fee just so you know. It’s same price as character transfer when I did it years ago.

I didn’t know you had to pay to move Warcraft accounts from one battle.net to another.

If you mean moving your Warcraft to another battle.net account then you will lose everything that’s BoA, if you mean merging Warcraft accounts then they can’t do that.

If that stuff isn’t important then open a ticket and ask for it to be moved to the new battle.net account. Personally I would ask for all your other stuff to be moved to your old battle.net account.

If you do ask be very, very clear on what you want moving and to where, use login emails to name the accounts and as said above, the names need to match.

So it’s a workaround, rather than move the whole wow account, because that’s not possible, you do char transfers, that’s a lot of cost per character though.

You cannot move a World of Warcraft account from one Battle.net account to another, or merge two World of Warcraft accounts into a single account.

The Character Transfer service allows you to move characters to other realms, different World of Warcraft accounts, or from one Battle.net account to another. To transfer a character to another Battle.net account, both accounts must be registered under the same account holder name. It is not possible to transfer a character to another person.

So Blizzard stopped you from moving Warcraft accounts from one battle.net to another. That’s something I didn’t know, last time I checked you could.

Didn’t know they changed it. I did it years ago.

I am not sure now I will do it or not.
I have some mounts which I do not wanna lose.

But the things have changed in game and I stopped playing it maybe 3-4 years ago(Do not remember exactly) so I do not know if it is any point of continue to play World Of Warcraft?

So why do you need to move it to a new battle.net account?

I have been looking into the game sometimes and now I have paid one month sub just be able to write here in forum.
On this old account I have the old Blizzard authenticator but on the new one I have the phone/app authenticator so if the battery should run low or not work anyone I won’t be able to use/enter the old account.
So I think it is better to have World Of Warcraft on the new account even if I maybe won’t play it anymore.

Bad news, you don’t need a subscription to post in the Customer Support forum.

The only way to get anything done on your account is via a ticket.

So that have been changed too?

As I remember before when I did not not have an active subscription it said that I need an active subscription to write on the forum.

As far as I know, you’ve never needed a subscription to post on Customer Support or Technical Support.

But yes, you need a subscription to post on any of the other forums.

Hello Shikoba,

Indeed it is no longer possible to transfer wow accounts between different battle.net accounts.

But from this it doesn’t sound like any transfers would be needed, but rather the best option would be to remove both authenticators, and then re-add the phone/app authenticator on your old account.

It sounds like you still have access to do this yourself and you can find all the info you need in the support article over here:

The thing is that I have all the other Blizzard game on the new account so I play there.
It is only World Of Warcraft I have on this account and I wanted World Of Warcraft moved to my new account.

I have phone authenticator on the new account but only Battlenet authenticator on this and as I understand is that I have to get a phone too with another number if I want to change the authenticator to phone instead on this account.

Maybe you should of added all your new games to the old battle.net account rather than make a new one and add them to that, then you could have added the phone authenticator to the old account after you removed the old one.

As stated by Tyrskorn, they cannot move the World of Warcraft to the new battle.net, probably to stop people selling a battle.net account with Warcraft on it, so I’m not sure why you are still trying to persuade them to move it. They won’t

Looks like you have to use both of your accounts. It is a little inconvenient but manageable. The only problem would be adding the authenticator app to the old account. Do you have an old phone you could use to install the authenticator app for one of the accounts?

It is not like that.

I asked them if it is possible to move the World Of Warcraft to the new account.
Had no idea that it was not possible.

I can’t move my games from the new to the old as I have a banned Overwatch game.
That is why I made a new account to be able to play Overwatch.

Eliria:

No I don’t have an old phone to install the app.
