Moving to another realm?

Hello,

I have been playing WoW in Twisting Nether as a Horde until dragonflight. I switched to Alliance for this expansion.

Twisting Nether Alliance is sadly doesn’t exist except few Horde players that want to try Alliance.

My question is how would effect me if I created a character in a other server where Horde vs Alliance is more balanced.

What would be missing and what would be better?

Thanks.

Why do you feel you want a faction balanced realm? Most players go for a realm that favours their own faction.

If they manage to sort out cross faction guilds, even faction bias wont matter any more.

I play on Silvermoon, where it’s like 90% Alliance, and I’m Horde. I play here because it’s where I’ve always played. With cross realm play in WoW, it’s not like I feel my server is Horde empty, for example.

But if you were to create a new character on another server, then there isn’t much you’ll be missing. You’ll still have all your transmogs and such. You’ll just be a pennyless character, starting from scratch.

It really depends on if you want to start over again on a new realm, where you hope things are going to be fine for you, and you’ll find a guild that fit your style/personality.

So at the end of the day, there is no harm in trying, as you can always go back to your previous character if things don’t work out.

I cant speak for the OP but it does have its benefits.
When i play alliance on my current realm, i can talk to and interact with people out in the world.

When i play horde on that realm, all i see are people talking to each other in gibberish.

If you play on a realm thats 50/50, the experience theoretically should be that you can interact with half the people you meet all the time.
And not 90% sometimes and 10% the other time.

If you have a friend who can make a character for half an hour, you can transfer your gold, less the AH cut.

Right now, when I do any world event, there is only me at the alliance side. No heals on world bosses, there are numerous people but no one to interact to, and lastly and more importantly no proper people to form a guild or so. Maybe I am wrong about it, but I believe in a balanced realm World PvP would be an option.

Whether you move or not is your decision … but I would suggest you make characters on the realms you’re interested and see what the atmosphere and people are like and how busy it seems. Make sure you think you’ll be happy there before doing anything about moving.

See I go for my faction bias, not a balanced realm for most of the reasons you give.

WM on is a different kettle of fish, the bulk of the playerbase play in WM off. So when you play in WM on you are put into shards. The shard balance is very hit and miss. There are usually groups up to hop around.

So I guess, you are suggesting me to stay at my realm. I don’t know what to do to be honest.

It’s no fun to be the minority faction, which is why my Horde are on Draenor and my Alliance are on Silvermoon. However, we may see cross faction guilds in the future but we just have no idea when that might be.
