Why is this a thing? Nothing tilts me more than getting absolutely nothing from a dungeon.
Why Blizzard thought it was a good idea to reward a single person with not 2, but 3 pieces and reward another player with NOTHING is absolutely beyond me. Is this going to be the norm going forward?
Madness. Every player should be awarded at least one item from a dungeon.
You see normal and heroic raiders felt we dungeoners enjoy the game too much, while they wait some good pugs to join their “friendly social guild” raid run and wipe with them indefinetly on bosses.
So daddy blizzard listened and made mythic+ drop less loot. So dungeoneers, who can carry way more individual responsibility (1/5 is 20%, while 1/25 is barely 4% imput) would join “friendly social” weekend raiders for a chance of some loot.
Bosses should drop something that feels a bit more rewarding I think, just getting gold feels very underwhelming. Maybe they could always drop some white or green gear instead of the gold; the rewards would effectively be the same but but it would feel better
Because if it was determined by such a strict algorithm, outside of “because I’m not a jerk” why would I stay after I get my loot?
Really, it’s entirely a problem with personal loot system. It’s still so strange to me that you can not even have a chance at the item that drops and it’s just given to someone. But that might just be me showing my Warcraft age…
The post is nothing to do with M+
Even if it was to do with M+, the quantity of loot was reduced because there is less randomness on the gear (no TF, no corruption). It’s not “le raiders whining XD” as raid bosses also drop reduced loot in Shadowlands too.
It’s emblematic that a problem was a problem for far too long, and now people are going to struggle to adapt to a higher-quality lower-quantity loot system.
I was struggling to get gear in normal/heroics, used the crafting gear to boost my ilvl then my first and only mythic yesterday I got two 184 peices, them’s the breaks.
Keep in mind, every level above the cap is 40% chance to get an extra item from the chest, this is a fact often forgotten about.
Now that there is no corruptions and titan forging, and because dungeon loot is worse than heroic raid items anyway and with the ability to socket items, m+ loot is completely useless, so if they buff the drop rate by 5x or nerf it more, it won’t matter at all.
Most if not all M+ players that can reliably farm m+ at the cap can already easily clear normal / heroic raids ( regardless if they like it or not )
Multiple Mythic Dungeons: No Loot Drop Had 2 runs with no drops. Then had a run where i had 4 drops (One from another person, make full plate runs to utilize max loot) and a legendary memory! So it is luck
