Undead humans and blood elves are the only human races in the horde, but can agree with them to stay with us, because they like us, and they like non-human races though
Or, there are the reasons that Murlocs could be in the alliance
First reason: Explorer’s league have a hero murloc who are friends with Reno, Brann
Second reason: Murlocs may be interesed with being Jinyu ancestors and Jinyu are part of the alliance

Honestly I question who they may have been as people given the company was knee deep in abuse even back then, but L70ETC were cool as hell, WoW needs a new band or musical artist attached to it.

Murlocs are too cool to be Horde or Alliance…they would have their own faction.
In fact I firmly believe that they have an advanced civilization deep beneath the oceans and will one day storm the shores and this game will be renamed,
