MW Buffed - Finaly!

Hey guys we MW finaly gets buffed on DMG!!!
And may Revival gets viable on M+ if you play with Mastery.

I am so happy to see this changes!

THX Blizz

It is a shame we had to spend 8-9 months as the utter trash tier healer to get it, but yeah, nice to see at last :smile_cat:

I guess time will tell as to whether our PvP talent changes will bring anyone back to the ladder? It’s a hard sell now that 99% (literally) of MWs have rerolled something else…

I’m not sure about that. The problem with Revival’s heal is that it’s a one-time direct heal. If the mastery proc would happen a few secs later or if it would cause a Gust of Mist that shields targets, it would be a lot better.

I know what you mean, but you need the heal of Revival right in the moment you press it, well or for a displ in m+ oc

E.g. when you did to much dmg at the verry start of a pack and have the grp not really prepared for big inc. dmg.
You need to fill this gap right now and not later on.
Otherwise you always have enoth heal output ^^

But the idea with the shield afterwards would be sooooo good, because it would not rip the problem i just wrote, it even give us the option to prepare the grp better !!
Would love to see this.

It’s refreshing to see MW not be the outsider of the healer specs for once.

I’ve always had a soft spot for MW but not enough to ever main it. I play a MW in lower keys when not pushing higher on this Resto Shaman, yet the problem has always been spread damage - especially if you haven’t got multiple mists floating about so that desperation viv’s are healing other people at the same time. They’ve always been fantastic spot-healers but start to suffer due to poor mana and the need to focus on multiple people during random damage.

I’m enjoying Fistweaver, but the fact the healing via melee damage is random makes it awkward when you really want to prioritize people. In short, when things start going sideways, it’s very hard to avoid being forced into the typical sooth/viv spam on each individual, and then you start to suffer. Meanwhile, my Resto Shaman just has to throw out a stocked cloudburst, or a few chain-heals, or a healing tide, or spew out a few riptides, maybe even a spirit link or chain harvest (venth) and you’ve likely reset the situation quite handily.

The problem with Revival is that it’s a 3minute cooldown. You kinda want to hold it for the dispel (especially during bursting) seeing as the flat healing by itself is not amazing as anything other than a last-resort desperation multi-heal, but even as a direct heal, it’s not overly impressive, especially in 5man content compared to larger raids. Having more than one (and higher output) will be a nice boon in both content types.

+10% damage across the board is a nice start, but I don’t feel it’ll be enough. Our damage at present is absolutely pitiful, and as said in another thread, it can take multiple rising kicks, tiger spam and blackout kicks just to maim something that my Resto Shaman would have outright killed just by popping a 2second cast FS-LB combo safely from ranged distance.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the mastery changes compliment everything.

It really isn’t. If the benchmark is disc priest or holy paladin, I don’t think a 50% buff would be “too much”.

But I do know paladins are being toned down a bit in 9.1 so it’s possible they will meet us in the middle.
