MW struggle to top dungeon group

Hi
I level a mw monk exclusivly in dungeons and sometimes i find it very hard to keep my mates alive. I have 3 Spells as far as i know to multi heal. The cloud dragon thing, then the aso dispell heal and my essence aoe heal spell but this spells are far from what i can do with my convoke druid ^^ and hots on every player.

What i am doing wrong here? It this normal life for a mw monk in dungeons? How do you heal your party when they all drop low?

This is my char.

Players who have your Renewing Mists (HoT) will also be healed when you cast Vivify. It’s possible (via various talents) to have more than 2x HoT’s floating around the party, meaning you can generally multiheal with Vivify.

Alas, this is still very janky, and the HoT will travel to someone else if they reach full-health with it, which is both good and bad. It’s one of many things that add a sense of unpredictability to the mix, which is never good as a healer who’s job is to keep people alive, which is best done through consistency.

Furthermore, you can also consider fistweaving - having the party be healed by your Rising Kicks – more-so if (like me) you also use the Fistweaving Legendary and Chi-Ji (Crane) instead of Yu’lon.

Unfortunately, this method is also subject to a large degree of randomness and unpredictability.

No matter how you spin it, MW-Monk is a stunning Spot-Healer (single-target) but can struggle a lot when it comes to widespread damage (in smaller content). They still do respectable in raids – which involves multiple healers – but not so much on their own.

9.1 is adding more Renewals (AoE Dispel/Heal) and tweaking Mastery. Even in the current build – especially as a Kyrian – high levels of mastery can make it so that even just throwing your HoT on someone can also provide a very respectable ST heal. As a Kyrian, your Covenant ability improves Essence Font (and Mastery), which is great when dealing with Prideful mobs in M+, which are an AoE damage nightmare – as are dungeons in general.

Ultimately, there’s no reason to consider a Monk over, say, a Resto Shaman, Paladin or other healers right now seeing as no content in the game is spot-healing centric. They’re not bad, just not great compared to alternatives.
